What a breath of fresh air. I've tried listening to 808's And Heart Breaks (Yeah.. I took it there!) about three times, and I definately didnt likeit the first, second or third time. Then, I just happened to pick up The Love Below while I was driving yesterday, and I'm like "So THIS is whatKanye was trying to do!" Dre did it so much more flawlessly. Great album from beginning to end. Andre 3000 and "The Love Below" is definatelyappreciated.

You serious? I didnt know that...

last album to go diamond i believe, flawed though, because it's a double album they multiply the sales by two

Yeh but what was the last album to even move 5.5 mil? The only one I can think of is The Eminem Show.

^^I'm not trying to take away from the album at all. I was just pointing out that it didn't actually sell 11 million physical coppies, it only sold5.5, a tremendous achievement in its own right.

Andre's lyrical prowess has always overshadowed his skill as a producer and it's a damn shame. This album is a prime example of how talented he is.

"She Lives In My Lap" is such a dope track all around and gets played multiple times on a daily basis.

Word. And it's crazy how I know so many other dudes that can rip lyrically that dont get shine for whatever reason. I think it Big andDre's support from their local community and school COMBINED with their tallent that really propelled them. People arent willing to support local artistlike that anymore because everybody wants to be a rapper now, so everybody man is the next mans competition. "Emcees are like crabs in a barrell, passthe Old Bay"...

I never understood the hate for this album. I even like Speakerboxxx which I guess is a guilty pleasure.
