He was nominated for album of the year. I don't see how he doesn't win this.

Great album, but what stopped it from being a classic was those stupid rock beats.

F&L>The Cool

And I thought this was a The Roots-Rising Up thread.

And I don't see why Wayne winning a Grammy is a problem on NT he deserves it.

Nobody underrates Lupe. He doesn't get the recognition he deserves though.

Lil' Wayne is NOT going to win album of the year. This is the GRAMMYS not American Music Awards. My money is on either Coldplay or Radiohead. More-so Radiohead.

I meant how does he not win rap album of the year. Since he is also in the overall AOTY noms, like Kanye was with his first 3 albums, I don'tsee how he doesn't win rap AOTY.

I agree with you on album of the year. I like Radiohead as well to take it.

Yup.

Very solid album, but its definitely missing something. Weird thing is I had the Cool in the 2nd slot for my 6 disc CD changer in the car for like 7 monthsstraight took it out for a month then threw it back in.

But honestly A.G>The Cool

and I'm an avid Lu fan.

EDIT: Greasy cut it out already

Que? There was like one rock beat. Unless you include Little Weapon and if you don't like that joint you deserve to get smacked

The Cool is certainly a modern day classic, anybody who denies this either isn't listening right or is simply a hater. Asides from Below The Heavens Ican't think of a better album that came out in 2007 (Game Theory was 06 right?)

Some people think it was subpar to F&L, i really can't agree with that. They're COMPLETELY different albums, apples and oranges, i hope hisupcoming album switches it up in a similar way.

I really liked The Cool, but I don't know about it being hip hop's last true classic.
