QFGDT. I dont like his new sounds, because I dont like the sound of Autotune, but I'm not gonna knock him for trying new things. And it seemslike enough people like it, so it looks like Kanye made a hit even with a different sound. I'm sure he'll be back to making his old sound music in notime.

It's not bad because it's different. It's bad because Kanye attempting to sing, on auto-tune no less, just doesn't sound good andI'm not going to give him a pass just because he's made great music in the past and is trying something new.

Do you live in a land where you only have access to an FM radio? Kanye has done the same thing as all the other producers out there, he brought his sound (which was just your basic backpacking) to the mainstream because thats what was the people wanted.

His new album is not the sound he was marketed by and its not the sound that built who he is today. He can try to be someone else but no one is going to appreciate it. Now, if he released this as a side project under a different name/group it would be perfect. TOO BAD.

If it was what the people wanted prior to Kanye, why did performers such as Little Brother, Talib, Common, Lupe, Murs, Dead Prez, etc. tend to struggle to achieve platinum status. Even with the success of Kanye, the masses still tend to sway towards the garbage rather than towards more soulful, conscientious hip-hop or music that is not in-line with the norm.

But if you read between the lines and look at if from an executive standpoint, you'll realize that Kanye now has the creative freedom to do whatever the%!#+ he wants from here on out.

"808s" popped in at number 1 and did damn near gold it's first week. No matter the hate, the bottom line is a W for 'Ye - the $%+# issellin'.

He'll do a couple more of these experimental albums in his career...you can bet on it.
