If these rappers died today which ones would be considered legends?

all of em except T.I.

when you got boatloads of material, it'll keep you relevant for decades

As of today? Kanye, maybe 50 that's it.

One day all of them will probably be considered so though...

All of the above.

I already know theres a buncha people that hate Wayne to death to the point where they dont @%+# with ANY Weezy tracks. Thing is though, in MY opinion, theresso many WACK !%! tracks he made "Planet Rock", "Im a Monster", "Miami Vice", "California Love", and etc.but from ALLhis leaked and official tracks I can listen to a couple of his classics ranging from Carter II, Carter III, Drought 3, Dedication II, almost all of the Empiretapes, Carter III Sessions and easily forget bout those tracks. Dude has a variety of $+$! that appeals to ANYONE that listens to ANY kind of Rap/HipHop...period.

death will make anyone famous. see heath ledger, who really cared about him till he died

well when I said die I meant if we judge them based on their material thus far.

50 and Kanye IMO, both of them have had solid singles and albums in the past 5-6 years...But TI and Lil Wanye? nope not for me.

Fifty is the king of numbers til this day so he'd be a legend.

Wayne already has copycat rappers imitating his style. Legend easily + the ton of material he's released (and kept secret) would spread and have similarposthumous effect as all the Makaveli series'.

Kanye trancends genres and demographics. Legend.

T.I.P is on the fence. He's street, accepted by the mainstream which is difficult to do these days. Legend.

Yeah they're all legends if they die.

kanye is just common sense...

as well as TI

Serious? I would say 50 by a mile over TI. Dude moved a ton of albums and had a much bigger impact during his time in rap if he passed today. TI? Nowhere nearas much.

also explain why you think so.
I think NYC might consider 50 cent a legend because of his early work (from the mixtapes, the Ja Rule beef in which he slaughtered him, untilGRODT) and overall success in the rap game.
Kanye would be considered a legend by some because of his innovation.
Lil Wayne will be for the younger audience and the South.
TI will definitely be for the South also and for a good amount of fans would consider him one because of his consistency and versatility.

50 Cent has only 1 classic.

Lil' Wayne has a catalog that consists of 90% trash.

Kanye West is not a rapper.

T.I. is the best rapper out of this group, but he still needs one more classic.

Seriously, all of them in the eyes of many unfortunately. As a rapper once you die that automatically makes you a legend for some reason, SMH. LikeJadakiss said..........."You know dead rappers get better promotion"

You couldn't have said it any better.

Both of you need help.

All of them except T.I. Nothing wrong with T.I but I feel like he didn't really change the game. All of these rappers came in and changed the game, whileT.I did get to the top, I didn't really feel a movement or anything. IMO, Wayne stole his spotlight.
