10+ years in the game....I think its time to call it quits

I wish I could

its just bad news all around.....

the closer I get to people who actually live and breathe music and don't get paid for their art

the more dirty i feel everytime i hit up megaupload or rapidshare

ima be honest ... i was bootlegging *%!@ since i was in 8th grade ... in the 16th grade right now ... so i got a good 2 years left ...

I feel you. The only albums I ever purchased were Little Brother's "Getback" and Lupe's "The Cool". I figure if they managed toconvince a heavy downloader like me to buy their product then why arent these other guys gettin my money? (Budden's "Padded Room" WILL be coppedtoo)

Its more than music with me. I gotta respect an artist inside and outside the studio.

Since 8th grade...Im in college now...so thats like 5 years....still got 5 more years to go

I got in the game by default

I left my radio on in 97 with C-BO playing....which led my bible-toting mother to take my entire collection of cds and smash them with a hammer.

I was about 300 cds deep, thats all I did back then was hit up Circuit City on Tuesday and cop whatever came out, then head straight to World FootLocker forkicks.

but yeah, after that debacle downloading mp3s off MIRC was the easiest way to get my collection back....

from the era of MIRC, to click this link to vote for our site before you download mp3s, to beat-box.com and now to this @%$.....

Maybe Ill stop if the quality of music today changes, Im not about to drop 12.99 for a CD with 4 good song out of 12 in which the 4 get completely played outafter a month.

Pretty much explains why I'm going to continue to download music. Although, I have bought 5 CDs in the past 15 months. That's a recordfor me.

I used to buy all my CD's until I was in the 8th grade. I lost my albums and I had to start downloading all my music, I had so many classics too. Lastalbum I bought was "The Cool" and the next one I'll buy will be Lupe's or Outkast, mostly because they have gained my respect and I liketheir music.

After next year if you're not on that list, I will be heading to Limewire instead of Bestbuy on your release day.

My sentiments exactly. I still buy a few cd's but I refuse to support these clowns that put 10 filler tracks on a 12 track album. Music today sucks forthe most part.

If Im paying to use the "downloading program" is that still downloading illegally or am I paying and still downloading illegally??

been downloading since the days of kazaa...
atleast 7 or 8 years
just bought a 500 gb hard drive, i'll quit when thats full

TRUE some artists need to step it up. There is hardly any brand loyalty when it comes to hip hop nowadays

dude I was making like 200 bucks a week in 8th grade and that was in 1998
