Jason Petrie...what can you say....he is definately good at what he does. I bought the Huarache '08's mainly knowing he designed them. But there'sno question he is being held back by the marketing or other departments inside Nike as far as pushing the limits with shoes.

well i definitely got to know more about him now...as i said in my original post i knew da name and about some of his renerings but not as nearly enough as ithought i did. also with the mix up with the nike alpha project....
the post as many said is a great one and very informative...so it definitely gets me back on track with knowing what i need to know....hope he has a brightfuture as well....as a future NTer its definitely a good thing to see him go that far, its lovely what this community has done in terms helping toproduce/showcase a guy like him and also the "little" influence we may have in gettin stuff released. Good job NT and JP

Not so much Politics, rather than direction given to him. Designers aren't there to design as much as they use to on all the lines. Some of the linesyes... but others.. they are told.. make it look like mix between this and that.. and they do their thing.
He does it the best..and as for the Windmills.. You should have seen them before they were scaled back. I mean REALLY.. Those could have been last yearsHyperdunks...

I never knew how the designers could be limited or held back like that. I could understand being told to make some minor changes or tone it down a bit, but notthat kind of restriction.
That speaks to the exact opposite of freedom and creativity, but if that's the system, at least we have capable people working through it.

Much appreciated. The AJI concept was my first intro to AP's skills way back. I see big things in your future, keep doing your thing. Maybe you can reviveyour name sake's previous glory.
These need to see the light of day, it would do wonders for bringing back JB's mystique and credibilty.
The heel of AJ XXII looks all too close to the heel of these AJI's.
And the ankle collar on the LeBron IV's reminds me of the collar on the AP AJI's (squint and you might see it.)
