The ALPHAPROJECT (aka. Jason Petrie) Appreciation Post!

Yeah AP is probably one of the most influential sneaker designers out there, at least in terms of my generation. He inspired a good amount of people to getinto footwear design. And I know a few of us are now working as footwear designers because of his inspiration.

I love the "Zoom MVP's", didn't know he was the one who did them. Keep up the great work!

I love the fact that ALPHA designed the newest LeBrons. However it's completely wrong that "he's the mastermind behind all of LeBron's sickkicks", Ken Link designed the LeBron 2 - 6. This is a strange claim by Nike.

That particular shoe was not designed by jason petrie.

also, it's name was the Air Payton IV which strayed from the 'air zoom gp ______' titles of the previous two models.


there still seems to be confusion on this.

The Nike Alpha Project was not started by jason petrie.

His NT screenname was coined after the inception of nike's now defunct high performance/technology line.




as for what's coming out, im giving serious thought to the lbj vii.

That's a subjective statement, as his talent is NOT evident. You and I do not have to agree on the talent level of some punk shoe designer,one whose shoes wind up on sales racks all over america.

I say he AND nintendo are both overrated, as well as your expertise on what's "clearly evident".
