...to make the transition...from the streets to the fame"
there was some definite miscommunication there...

Sums up the whole post and problem.

And

for the Bob Sanders reference.

Beans used to feel like the second coming of BIG to me.

Less polished but the versatility and the natural talent was there.

He spent more time in the streets than the booth tho...his time has come and gone.

Im still a supporter tho.

So true....the truth was
eek.gif
....but he has gone down hill but the bright spot other tha his 1st album was the B. Coming which was
eek.gif
as well...but he neverreached the level he shoulda reached....damn
smh.gif
....

_s sleepin on the Reason as well...

that album gave me the chills...

Nothing Like It...

The b.Coming was like art to me...like from "Cant Go On This Way"...to "Look @ Me Now"...

all that writing in his head as well....

solution was basura...had some cuts on there but it was forced to be commercial...

THE hardest freestyle of the year....

After he finished spitting you could tell them _s wish they had went harder.

Free held his own tho.

I be rewindin his verse on the MP3 like its a old cassette tape.

Nah the reason aint slept on but to me it doesn't have the same effect as the others I mentioned...the reason had its joints on there but the same onesthat got me goin on the reason, were on the truth and the B. Coming...such as what ya life like, Die, the truth, changelord have mercy, bread and butter, lookat me now...I jus think those two are superior to the reason

I never understood why this dude isnt big yet myself. The album before the solution is just a crazy classic. I think all the legal problems causes confilictbetween him and his career.

His first 3 albums are all slept on.

It kinda bothers me when people compare him to Styles and Jada. Those dudes are both 1-dimensional as %%!!, and I'm a fan of both. Beans is a much moreadvanced MC.

"they used to talk #$#%, but Ima quiet them......"

Hands down one of my favorites to ever do it.

He's somewhat overrated, he never lived up to the hype. His album are not that great either

I remember hearing that live... He's the only rapper that ever gave me real live goosebumps while hearing him spit. It's almost a crime that he doesn't come out with new material frequently. Him not being around much makes me feel like I'm being robbed of something special.

Nothing Like It was/is my favorite Sigel song. Top 5 intro EVER! Regardless of any musical genre. Me and my friends used to blackout listening to it (damn has it really been 7 years?).

True Story....me and my mans was havin this convo earlier....Of course Beans is street legend when it comes to this rap !+!*, but my man brought to myattention that Beans is disappoint for the simple fact that he was with the world's most famous rapper, but he is one of the most unknown rappers tomainstream america. He said Freeway would be known out in the burbs before Beans...Like Free did a show out in the Boonies and 20 people came out there and herocked the show...He said no way Beans can do that type of crowd and its because he can't appeal to mainstream crowd that accepted his man Jigga. He saidif I went to the burbs and ask someone who is Beanie Sigel they would look at me with the blank look.

So funny story...we go out to the burbs and we at this gas station. I ask this lady coming out the mini mart.

me:"Excuse me miss...can I ask you a question?...Do you know who Beanie Sigel is"
lady: "Hmmmmm....Beanie Sigel? (then she gives the same blank look my man said she would give)"
me:wow:k...do you know who Jay-Z is?
lady: "I know who Jay-Z is"
me:Freeway?
lady:frown:blank look)
me:Memphis Bleek
lady:frown:blank look)
me:wow:k...nevermind...thanks anyway...just wanted to know.

Like that !+!* was the funniest...

cuz she did exactly what my man saidshe would do. I mean Beans is a dissapoint as a succesful rapper, but that's his own fault. He didn't do songs with crossover appeal. He didn'tpromote himself and had all the resources in the world. He still a legend in the streets, but he's a dissapointment.

Ya'll talkin' like Beans is dead. HE just dropped an album last year. And he's still one of the nicest cats on the East Coast until provenotherwise. I wasn't really feelin' that last album though. But between The Reason, The Truth and B.Coming that's a strong trio right there.
