I was just thinking of this while listening to evil empire. Will people remember them for their music? Protests? At all?

They'll be remembered for their live shows more than anything else. They'll also make the Rock Hall, but the era in which they came up didn't havethat many influential/great bands that will withstand the test of time.

Four people out of like 11 posters? That's sad.. you guys need to expand your musical horizons and quickly.. and that doesn't mean admitting you like the new Kanye because "it's so experimental and different"

^^^^^^ hahahahahahahahahaha..... smh at "its so experimental and different" so easily influenced they are..lol.... RATM better go downin history... they have a sick @*@ catalog that needs to be given to children before they listen to anything else... These dudes are the best. i'm pissedat myself for getting into them so late. Great Band... great shows. i wish they get back and put out another album

Not going to lie, I didn't know who they were, but I have their entire catalogue. I've listened to about half of it and I would definitely recommendthem, worth the listen.

How is it sad that we don't know who they are? Are we supposed to go back in time and listen to every single band?

They haven't released an album in over 10 years. They're not relevant, and they haven't been relevant for years.

how can you say that. were you born in like 2000? rage was a largely popular band in the 90's. one of the reasons i started listening tomodern alternative. no one said that you had to know every song by them but its hard to believe you have never heard of them

Well, they my fav. Band ever, that ain't saying much though because I don't listen to anything other than hip-hop really. I think thought they will beremembered postivily because they were really political, and far ahead of their town. Morello is one greatest guitarist of our generation and Zach is thatdude. They'll be remembered. I hope they get back together and make one more album.

I was born in in 1990. I've heard of them before but very sparsely. I've never heard of any of their songs either.

and how can I say what? That they're not relevant? Are you going to tell me that RATM is still relevant?

I don't see how they'll be remembered 30 years from now. They didn't do anything revolutionary or historic.

not relevant now. never said that, but they had a huge political voice in the 90s. they were kinda like public enemy of the 90s in that they saidwhat they wanted about the government and didnt care what people had to say about it. thats why they will be remembered.
