Whats up fellow NTers been a minute since Ive been on. Just an FYI for all debating on what is going to happen for 09 regarding retro s. This is straight fromthe Brand Jordan account executives mouth in NY. "Going forward for 2009 the double pack program will be no longer. Brand Jordan will be looking ahead andtrying a new concept similar to the Defining moments in Jordans career and will release a specific retro model shoe dating back to a specific date where MJperformed a certain career highlight. i.e. 69pts against the Cleveland cavaliers. The Retro 5 will be released on that calendar date. When he scored 55 on theKnicks on a certain date that Retro X will be released." Brand Jordan is going to use some of the rare mentioned moments in his career instead of thealready used "over exhausted " models that have been retroed numerous times. i.e XIs. Some of his All-star models may be in there as well. They aretrying to get back to that exclusive collector rarity mentality that has been lost. They feel the retro line has been to cut and dry as of late. Hope thissheds some light on where we are going for retros in the near future.
 
i guess thats good news, you might want to post a link or something before the old heads get to this post and start calling you a liar, i believe you though.
 
A Jordan V "69"? I rather see a Jordan V "68 and I owe you one".

And no more XIs? If it was no more Blk/red XIs, then yeah, I agree, but I need some Space Jams and some new Concords so if that's true, I'm not happyabout that.
Whatevs...just give me original colorways, otherwise I'm not buying it.

I think we have heard most of this before.

Hopefully quality isn't bad but we all know how JB has been the last couple of years.

This could be good for the new collectors. Old heads probably won't be happy with quality.
 
what v has been retroed in the last 2 or 3 years?

this means every v has been retroed recently so if they retro the v he was wearing when he had 69 pts it will already be a shoe that came out recently

now no need to quote me and ask if i am serious
 
sounds like a good move from JB. Now they just have to to stop will all these hot garbage that they call fusions

if this is true, I like the new direction, hopefully they'll up quality as well .....
 
My source is the Account Executive with whom I will leave the identity unknown. He stated this is info coming from the top executives at Brand Jordan Mr .Gentry H. himself. According to him this is the direction they are going with the retro line. I will take the flames and neg comments on here everybody isentitled..but all I ask is when this new product plan goes into effect please try and remember who put it up here first. Some people have a tendency to try anddrop old info as the new product is approaching and disguise it for new info they obtained. I talk to the account execs and product development team regularlyfrom a relationship I developed from collaring people selling counterfeit goods. Not just Jordans but other companies as well. I just happen to be a collectoras well so i will get calls from them for little favors they may need and vice versa, so i make small talk with the Jordan and Nike reps pick their brains abit, thats all.
 
I really hope that when they say "a specific retro model shoe dating back to a specific date where MJ performed a certain career highlight" theyrelease the EXACT shoe he was wearing (colorway wise)... im sick of butchered fusions and insane colorways, keep it OG
 
good riddance. maybe JB will actually try to make decent shoes now, knowing that they can't pack a terrible pair of jordans with a pair that peopleactually want.
 
totally agree, at least give collectors a chance to value something instead of overproduction and saturation of classics

obiously your source is mistaken . if you are up on your game , here at NT we already know that there will be a double pack releaseing next year witch consistsof two 5's known as the difining moments 2 . so that statement has no maret . and as for your other info . no need to get it from your so called exec .just look up gentry humpfree on youtube and hear it from the man himself . thankyou
 
sound interesting. only thing, what about the speculated packs for 09. is that a lie. no 5's package. [i really wanted that lol]
