Alright I know the song/line has been discussed but I had this arguement before and I just seen another forum talkin about it but is this a triple entendre?

The obvious ones:
1. The Jackie Robinson played for the dodgers you run base and u go back to the bull pen

2. the running base- base as in drugs and base as in the bases and pen- as in jail and also as in the bullpen

The one in question:
3.And also bass as in bass-line and pen as in object you write with. (meaning on the beat he doesnt write?)

i dont think its reaching to be honest
it actually makes sense
Jay is mentally fast like that so i dont think its reaching.
the pen part had me thinking too esp. because of the whole not writing thing.
the only part thats seems like reaching is the bass part and even then technically he is on bass when he raps so idk

Actually, after you run the bases, you return to the dugout. Pitchers warm-up in the bullpen.

okay, that line was just clear. Jackie Robinson... I Jack I Rob I Sin... you have to take that bar for what it is. nothing more. hot line, OD. it's not asdifficult as your making it out to be. Jay-Z broke down homies name that's it.
