Incubus is the greatest band known to man. Period

I'm certainly glad to hear from my fellow Incubus fans here on NT, however I feel like they still aren't gettingeven a fraction of the credit they deserve. I literally laughed when they were compared to Coldplay. I feel like they're so underrated because their lyricsare almost always misinterpreted. They have some extremely profound things to say, but oftentimes, or actually most of the time their lyrics are misconstruedand the true meaning of the song is left undiscovered. This may be because you're not used to getting that type of meaning from a song, maybe you justaren't in the right frame of mine to hear the same things I do, I don't know, but it's real shame in my opinion. Maybe I went too far saying theyare the "Greatest", but if there is a better band out there I have yet to find them (this coming from someone who listens to music daily and has over8700 songs on iTunes).

PS I'll be getting the chorus to "The Warmth" as a tat somewhere in the next two months

can't wait. It's such an uplifting song that I just so happened to be introduced to in a time of great turmoil in my life.I'm afraid no adequate words exist in the English language that would enable me to describe the feeling this song gives me

Aqueous Transmission is that piff but they're far from the greatest....They're nice though.

The Mars Volta...hell At The Drive-In>Anything Incubus has created.

To add to that above, I've been reading around on songmeanings.net and the amount of grossly twisted interpretationsof their songs just further reinforces my notion that the majority of listeners don't truely understand what they're saying. Just know that Brandon(and the rest of the band) are very big into spirituality, they've claim to have been taught by mystics, etc. Many of their songs speak to your soul, tothe innately human creature inside of you that's being dehumanized in the world today. Obsessed with all of our worldly posessions and things thatdon't matter we can't see the only things that are important, at the core of every person. I just had to laugh when somebody said "Drive" wasabout drunk drivers...

PS "Make Yourself" is by far their best album IMO. I haven't yet read anything to confirm this, but Ithink something very influential happened to the band before making this CD. It's so obvious the different direction they've taken, especially withtheir lyrics since then

Oh don't worry, your post alone garners all the e-laughs I 'desire'.

Short version: If you don't like the comparison, quit posting poor generalizations, Mike.

Not my absolute favorite but definitely in the top 5. I'd rank them just below Radiohead, Chili Peppers, and my beloved Interpol.

I'm not an Incubus fan, but they are so much better than so many of those bands.

Papa Roach dog? PAPA ROACH!?
Last Resort > Incubus' existence

And I dont cut myself.

I just think they are the epitome of gay.

For some reason I dont like em
