I can't be the only one who's thinking about this. Hip hop needs a new movement like dipset, wu-tang or rocafella. Any thoughts? Agree/disagree?

TEAM UNERGROUN HIP-HOP

Psst. Explains it all. Probably one of those "Hip Hop Elitists" thinking they know what REAL HipHop is.

^ Why are you cathin' feelings off my sig ?

I like a lot of underground rap, so what ? I also listen to all the mainstream classics too. Dipset on the other hand is a disgrace to hip hop. Show me onegood song, hell, show me one verse with decent lyrics. A lot of people I know are huge dipset fans who could recite any song they ever made off the top oftheir head and still call dipset garbage music that they only listen too because it's "catchy". Too me, that's pop, not hip-hop. No substanceat all just made to sell and get quick $ of kids who don't know any better.

You like dipset wayne gunit gucci kanye and whatever else, good for you. I don't, it's whack to me. That's my opinion and I could care less whatyou think.

Anyway, back on topic: I want hip-hop to return to the great years. ex: 89-94, 96-00 are time periods that are pure

I'll name you ONE song EASY!....Go peep D'Rugs by Cam.

And something that is "catchy" doesn't mean it ain't HipHop. There are TONS of "catchy" HipHop classics.

What about '95?

I'm totally with you on the years you mentioned, but I'd go with '87 (I'd say '89 too if it wasn't for EPMD)- 00, '95 included.

Why? We're already are the biggest genre in America. We just need to buy our artist's records. The only way to move a movement is money. Believe that.

Ok, that's a decent song I guess, but it's not by Dipset.

I am a fan of Pre Dipset 'cam too, especially his joints with Children of the Corn and with Big L, back then he had talent. I don't know what happenedfrom about 00 - present. Yeah, there are catchy hip-hop songs, sure, but that's not what I meant. I mean songs that have literally no meaning at all withjust a catchy hook that kids then go on to claim as classics.
