"The Spirit" Movie Post

I fell asleep during this movie -___- Too boring, confusing, long and stupid. I made my money's worth by watching Marley & Me right after.

Indeed.. Visually it bare resemblance to sin city but I got the impression the feel of it was suppose to be more nostalgic ....it had kind of a +%*% tracy typeof vibe to it. I tried to like it but there was absolutely nothing there to hold my interest. Im a hardcore movie goer that doesnt get phased by pretty actressIm more into the plot, the depth of the charctors, the climax and the resolution of the film.. No doubt eva mendes is attractive but her appeal is just notenough sit through a lack luster movie. I did like some of the traits of the protagonist (The Spirit) however the cheesy dialogue and his corny dispositionmade me less compelled to take an indepth interest in his heroism. Perhaps i needed to read the comic version of it before seeing the movie adaptation...Needless to say this is one movie i could of passed on.

Scarlett Johansson is flawless.

As for the movie, Samuel Jackson was hilarious. When he had those damn sideburns on

it wasnt that bad, but it wasn't good. you ppl must have attention spans of a second because it really wasn't confusing at all. It just had a lot ofthings that had no business being in there. There were just some really stupid parts

And yes most of the movie was wack... the visuals were good but the movie just sucked... only good thing was eva showin her booty and lookin at scarlettsbreast. Samuel L was alright... the end of the movie was actually ok... if u can make it to the end

Was anticipating this, but the RT rating turned me away as well. I went and saw Slumdog instead. I could not have been more happy with my choice.
 
I liked it...maybe you guys were never into the comic...I've noticed that with a lot of people that hate comic book movies, I found that it stuck with thecomic relatively well. Yall just dont know anything comics and expect the movie to be something different
 
Samuel L keeps taking.....L's in just about every movie he's been in since Pulp Fiction and Coach Carter.
 
i liked this movie a lot. that whole "death" thing i could have done without. but there are a lot of little things that
the average person wouldn't get, maybe confused many people

Yep, movie had all kinds of hilarious subliminals. And for those of you who said they were overacting, the whole movie was made to be a spoof. I don't want to ruin it for anyone who might see it but everything in the plot isn't there to make sense.
 
Just saw this movie earlier tonight. The movie wasn't trash per say, it just never caught my attention. Even with all the beautiful women, the story feltboring, like it was going nowhere. Big disappointment because when I first saw the trailer I thought it would be good. Save yourself the money... unless youwant to see a fine piece of **$

eva mendes is baaaaaaaaaad ... but i just got back from seeing this ... and its terrible ... her looks don't even save this film
 
im glad i saw the day the earth stood still instead of this movie last night. although that movie wasn't that great either
 
This movie was trash, nothing like the previews for it. Eva Mendez though....Ive never seen her look this good. Promise me you'll wait for this to come outon dvd and jus download it.
 
The movie was bad? That's disssapointing to hear. I def. was looking forward to seeing it. I enjoyed Sin City and 300 a lot. Damn.
 
It wasn't THAT bad. But it's not THAT good either.

Great to look at, nice shots, Sam Jackson steals the show. But that's about it. I wouldn't rent it again on DVD.
