The snow that I used was really powdery but usually you want snow thats more on the icy side. Also I used this plastic container thats kindashaped like a brick and used that as a mold that worked really well. When you do it pack a TON of snow into it because the harder packed it is, the stronger itis (obviously), My molder was probably 1 ft wide 5 inches high and 5 inches deep.

1. Start early to have it done before sundown

2. Lay down the bricks of snow or ice in a circle and make sure each row is staggered so that its not one on top of one and the weight is distributed to twobricks instead of one. Also angle the bricks in so that they slowly come in to form a dorm (mine is more of a teepee, both are hard, good luck) the door shouldbe done once igloo is pretty close to being finished. You want to snow you dig the door from the be nice and settled in the structure so it doesnt damage itwhen you remove it. When you make the door be careful, start from the bottom, and work slow.

3. just build build build until your done, the very top brick is kind of hard (I got a bunch of snow in my face.) Once it started doming (pause), I had toclimb inside to finish it.

4. Witness your creation and take pics then P.Y.I. (Post Your Igloo)

Honestly, it's a really simple concept. I googled a couple how-to's and watched a couple minutes of some youtube videos.

You should of taken buckets of water to the igloo to pour over and create a shell. Way back when NY had that blizzard I had a tunnel x igloo going on, miss it
