smoke smell on thunder iv's

i just copped a pair of thunder iv's off ebay the other day. when i got them they stunk like cigarettes! other than the smell these shoes were perfect. icleaned them up and febreze the shoes but it seems like the smell is still there. it's not as strong as it was when i first got them. so my question isthere something else to use on them besides febreze that you guys can think of? i don't want to ruin the nubuck on these bad boys

what i do is put them outside somehow like on your deck. not for too long though and don't put it in the sun. don't do that in a bad neighborhoodthough haha. (my deck is on the second floor)

YES ... or I heard them Sneaker Balls from FNL work too .....
 
Man, I have this same problem with a pair of OG last shots I bought awhile ago. They got some weird strong smell to them. I don't even wanna wear thembecause of the smell. I've only wore them once and it just stinks. I tried febreeze and nothing.

if its the smell im thinking of all the OG XIVs have it because of the leather. The leather in itself it real high quality but it has that smell.
 
I use my steam iron and just blow the steam on the sneaker. "Without letting the iron touch the shoe of course"
Works for me all the time.
