Who Else had their weeks/weekends ruined by snow? Vol. Where's Global Warming when you need it?

In Seattle we've gotten like a foot in the last few days and its been snowing all day and were supposed to get like another 6 or so inches tonight andwe're basically not gonna see any relief until after Christmas. Now I know a foot may not be a lot to some of you guys but here in Seattle, it'scrippled the city. Tons of bus routes are closed and downtown is a mess. Just about every side street is ice and main streets are compact snow. My moms car has4wd but it only helps so much. I cant drive my car because its RWD. All I've done since it started snowing is sit at home and call in to work everydaybecause I couldn't make it. The only thing I've done was go sledding once (earlier today) and i've built two igloos. This $%%! is really startingto piss me off.

Anybody else feel the same way?

I'm pretty sure global warming is partially the cause of the cold weather.

Same thing going on with our city.
And I was supposed to leave today for Denver, but thanks to this damn snow the flight got canceled. Soonest I can leave is Christmas, but I might say %$$! itsince I'd be back 3 days later.

Yeah its the same here in Portland...I don't really mind it but today I got called in to work because someone couldn't make it because of the weather.I was pretty mad because

I wanted to watch football all day, but oh well at least my team won.

The Northeast got hit pretty bad as well. For the first time in 3 years I didn't go out on a Friday night. I was in my room cuddled up in the fetalposition shivering like a crack fiend.

y'all need to learn how to drive in the snow...it really isn't that bad as long as you go slow...unless you have RWD. if you have 4x4/awd/fwd,you're good as long as you're not a moron out on the road

I'm in Seattle to.... I can't work (this is the only time I can get money until spring break) still not done christmas shopping, and it looks like somepeople are not getting anything from me until a few days after christmas

been stuck in my house since Thursday.... I'm going to TRY to walk to thestore in the morning.... Plus I'm on a huge hill.... This sucks...

If I want snow, I will go to the mountains. That being said, I am glad we are getting a storm just in time for winter break. Snowboarding daily (I'mgoing to try) for two weeks,

It's not that I need to learn how to drive in snow, it's that other people need to learn how to drive in snow. That's what keeps meoff the roads when the weather is like this.

Been stuck here at the Bellevue Hilton for 2 nights now. Good thing I work here so I get free nights and work on top of that and make money. Guest have to payfor internet in their rooms but I got hooked up so I got the internet for free.. Doesn't look like I'll be home til Tuesday but it's all good justgetting the money I spent on christmas shopping back.

Worst part happened today too the hotel lost power for 2-3 hours!

It's not that I need to learn how to drive in snow, it's that other people need to learn how to drive in snow. That's what keeps me off the roads when the weather is like this.

QFGDE. Seeing people spin out, slide through red lights and fishtailing down the street while I'm behind em doesnt make me feel to safe. I dont understandhow people live here their whole lives and cant drive in bad weather for %$%#.
