i read this book called scratch beginnings, where the author moves to a city with no connections, no credit, and only 25 dollars, with the goal being to have aapartment, car, and 2500 dollars saved up in 1 year's time.

he did it, and I wanted to try it too.

my question for the NT is this: do you think you could do it? and if so, how might you go about getting on?
 
No way I can or would do this. The only way I think you can pull it off is if you live at a homeless shelter and get a job ASAP. I don't even know how thatworks because they will ask for your address, phone #, etc.

I read "Nickel And Dimed" a couple of years ago where the author sees if she can make it on minimum wage and she can't..regardless of thedifferent cities and different jobs she took on. So with just $25 to get by while trying to start a new life..that seems quite ludicrous.
 
danm.. to be honest.. i prob prosistute myself for like couple days...than see what i can do from there..

dude started out working at temp agencies, living in a homeless shelter, until he got together enough cash to get an apartment.

i think all it takes is a strong work ethic, a willingness to do without, and good people skills.

adam shepard used to be my next door neighbor...he's a good kid. his parents still own the house, but they rent it out to another family now.

call ducktales if you want, i don't care...

i had a roommate in college that tried to live off 20 bucks for the semester...he failed...epic-ally

i have a hard time making it one day on 20 dollars, let alone a whole semester.

but i want to try it at least, and write a book about it like dude did, just to see if it's possible for a young black male to realize the american dreamin this white manz world...
 
I could if I had family/friends in city
Also if I got a job first week of arrival
Get in a motel/slang plus work (sometimes slang @ work)
And eat very minimal, find second job and sleep minimal hours!
