I'm about to buy a gift from there and i dont want to sound dumb when i ask for it. What's the correct pronunciation because i've heard it bothda-mi-eh and da-mi-er, even from the store employees.

No. -er gives an "ay" sound. You know, like -er verbs. Jouer, manger, etc. It ain't jew-er or mong-er.
