What is the criteria for lyricism in 2008? Fabolous? Lloyd Banks? Nah.

Arent you a clipse fan? Whats the different between them and fab and banks? None of those 3 are elite but they are all ill lyricists. And fab and banks are better cause they can be lyrical on a range of subjects. If you're not a clipse fan tho carry on

Punchlines isn't lyricism. Correction, punchlines only partly makeup lyricism. Fab and Banks are not close to the Clipse either. They may rhyme about dope a lot, but it makes their material cohesive and collective, plus literally it's not the only thing they talk about.

I'd like to know what "range of subjects" your talking about when your talking about Banks and Fab though.

Lyrical=story telling ability, metaphors, similes, symbols, personification, double entendre etc, etc....
Banks/Fab spit about the same stuff Clipse do except they make girl and club records. Not much more but still more
& you hear fabs "punchlines" you call em. "You playing games til the red light is on ya its like the playstations off" I mean ok clipsehas Nightmares but you act like theyre big, ghost, or cam painting stories. Every story is the same with them. I mess with them but it gets tiring real quick.Everytime a we got it for cheap tape comes out I hail it as a classic 3 weeks later ehhh

I never got the hype this dude got. He was always boring, one-dimensional. Even back during G-unit's heyday, I couldn't listen for longer than 5minutes or so.

, we ain't even gotta go to the underground to find mc's that would dead 'em.

Clipse is miles ahead of both.

Who said anything about underground though? We're talking about Fabolous. The rapper who fills his CDs with those soft $!* female songs.

How you put Cam in the same sentence as BIG and Ghost about painting stories though

Clipse has more than Nightmares, check the records on Lord Willin and Exclusive Audio Footage. I've been listening to Clipse as long as I've beenlistening to Fab and Banks, and the Clipse music grew on me, Banks and Fab regressed.

I'm not talking about content either. I'm talking about the methods used to deliver content, Clipse is well ahead of them lyrically.
lol @ dude gettin at Lloyd and Fab
dudes would eat ya favorite MCs E Z, quote that.
like really?
Everybody entitled to they opinions but thats a SMH moment right there, well at least IMO.

Lloyd fell off in my book but so did the Unit in general and its all a matter of Hunger.
They got successful and they got lazy. Now after the last album you would think he'd pick it up considering the scope of the fall off but it didn't happen.
They would eat my favorite MCs? Nah they wouldn't.

Come on man, Lloyd Banks has fell off HARD. I am a fan of both of these guys older material. Where is the longevity? Fab and Banks were both going in some timeago, but there is no growth. Thats why nobody is buying G-Unit records period.
