Mixtape About Nothing vs. 100 Miles and Running

I've been meaning to make this post for a long time now. Everywhere i see Wale mentioned whether it's here or on another site people go ape %!$% overMixtape About Nothing, a solid mixtape in its own right but compared to 100 Miles and Running, it's just doo doo...100 Miles is #!++%@! golden. MaybeI'm the only one but that %!$% is great, from start to finish nothing but dope feel good music.

I listened to Mixtape About Nothing for maybe a week at most and then popped 100 Miles back in.

From "blowin on somethin, AC blowin on you," to Rediscover Me, this joint is damn near flawless, the only exceptions being Rehab and maybe Bonafied.That still leaves 18 tracks of piff...

I guess the question is am i the only one that feels this way?
 
Mixtape About Nothing sounds more like a DC album. More Go-Go influenced than any of his other work. 100 Miles & Runnin' is pure hip-hop.

But IMO, Mixtape About Nothing > 100 Miles

damn im embarrassed now. I guess that just proves i don't know $#!$ about Go-Go or what it sounds like...im not even gonna tell you which tracks off100 Miles and Running i thought were Go-Go influenced

100 miles and runnin>______

everything else is trash to me..dude made a me a supporter after i heard that good girls joint.
 
I like 100 miles better than TMAN. when TMAN originally dropped i bumped it far more than 100 miles, but yesterday reminded me of how SOLID 100 miles was.aside from Vacation from ourselves, Feature heavy, all i need, nike boots, and maybe the grown up I cant see the other tracks in my rotation. Tracks 7-20 on100 miles > TMAN, IMO.
 
100 miles and runnin is better

also picked up a compilation of 08 and

solange ft. wale - f the industry is a top ten track of 08
 
100 miles and runnin, really made me listen to wale... nothing else i have heard by him has hit me like that...

100 Miles and Running is the best joint he put out IMO..
I rocked with that joint for a while when it first dropped..
I didn't even give MTAN more than a few whole spins total..

yeah i mess wit both of them but i think TMAN gets the edge cuz it's got more of an album feel to it...i won't lie tho that daytona joint andrediscover me are straight crack
 
100 Miles and Running was more hiphop
but The Mixtape about Nothing was more of an album besides the Roc Boys freestyle, Rising up verse, and The Cliche (Nikeboots remix).....because it really hadone main influence on the entire mixtape
Thats why its getting sooo much Love for Top Mixtapes and albums of the year
 
Mixtape About Nothing was definitely like an album. the cohesiveness was on point

what yall don't know is that like 30-50% of the tracks on 100 miles were from his previous mixtapes. it was like a compilation

with that being said, hate is the new love > all
 
It depends on what you look for in your music.

100 Miles was more fly !@#* talkin', More slick wordplay...N' said "You're uncool/uncle like my Mother's kin"...

TMAN was more concept oriented, And was better song-for-song. Because of this, It has more replay value and is the better project IMO.

I like 100 miles a lot...But it's like fast food. TMAN was that hearty @ss meal you get the itis from. Real album quality !@#*.
