The movie only seems to share the same title as the F. Scott Fitzgerald story.

It's more similar to "The Confessions of Max Tivoli" as far as plot is concerned.

Just watch the damn movie and stop looking for someone to give you an excuse. There's plenty of reviews out there for you to read.

Who are you speaking to?

Just came back, didn't expect it to be that long.
but nevertheless, it just makes you ponder on life.
It makes you think of being in that guys shoes, going back in age, leaving what he's left behind. depressing but positive on life and stuff

Pretty interesting movie, but I can't believe I managed to sit through a 3-hour love story. Brad Pitt did pretty good though. Damn tramps in every part ofthe movie though

movie had all sorts of random funny parts.
i guess they were trying to make up
for how long it was.

Can anybody tell me the 7 ways that one old guy was struck
by lightning? : lol

Overall tho: Good movie but it wasn't what I expected tho..

This movie was horrible. It was bland and extremely long.

Connecting to the characters and feeling any sort of emotion throughout the film was impossible.

I absolutely loved this movie. Best movie I have seen since Blood Diamond. Great story and concept. I love these types of movies that alllow me to reflect onlife hours and hours after the movie is finished.

The best part of the whole movie was when he was explaining everything going on that could have happened differently to prevent the certain event fromhappening. If ONE little thing went differently, it would have happened differently.

Definitely had something life changing like that happen in my life once. There were about 12 other things that could have happened where I would have beensomewhere else, but didn't...

I've been dying to see this movie for like 2 months now, and I'm hoping my boy's gf cancels so I can go see it with him

Saw it last night and I must say it was amazing. Its about 3 hours but you dont feel it while your there because it didnt at all, the one time I looked at mywatch was just to see how much of it had gone by and I was 2hours into it and didnt want to leave. In terms of accuracy compared to the short story, the onlyitems that matched was just the character himself aging backwards but even that had some differences. There are some scenes in the book that are redone andfound in the movie im sure if you re-read the short story before you see the movie you will recognize them.

Spoiler:

What was the symbolism behind the humming bird? Also what was the point of the whole Katrina happening in the backgroundhave to do with anything? And last I didnt really catch the whole clock thing but how did the clock and benjamin go hand in hand? If anyone could clear thoseup I'd appreciate it.
