There's a lot of new cats coming up under the radar right now, and you got to admit having "real" talent is coming back. List your topcontender for the future of Hip-Hop, dudes you think can possibly break into the game and bring back quality.

Drake - tight flow, good voice, lyrics is always on point, knows how to make hits, fresh style etc. no need to say much, if you've heard him you'dknow he's ready to blow up.

Wale - i downloaded the mixtape about nothin, since i heard so much about it. i was skeptical when i heard the intro, but as i got into the middle of thetape i was like "whoah" this dude is really on some other #+!. i think he's got what it takes, his subject matter is crazy.

Pacific Division - i really like these cats right here. first off they're a group where each one of them can really spit, not one of them is weak.they're from the west coast and bring a different sound, but still have mainstream appeal. they just needa drop something new like that "mayor"joint they perform.these guys can go far, they just overall fresh wit it.

Curren$y - laid back flow, easily relatable, a different spin on what a southern rapper is usually portrayed as. his mixtapes are nice, he definitely stillperfecting his craft (sometimes his flow gets a little too repetative), but he's a likable rapper and can definitly spit, i just hope he can knock out somehit records

The Cool Kids - i saw them on the rhapsody commercial, thought they were just hipsters, but i was like that beat sound kinda knockin. Looked them up, andthey aren't really hipsters at all. They're more of a throwback group, on some beastie boy #+!. The beats are mostly drum based but they knock. Chuckand Mikey also can really spit. the bakesale was dope, and they're live performances are sick.

Dom Kennedy - smooth, this dude is smooth. i heard the 25th hour mixtape, and was just zonin out. just that laid back, cool, cali, type #*@*. everythingfrom the flow lyrics to the voice, just smooth.

Honorable mention: charles hamilton - he's definitely got talent. pink lavalamp is ill, the only thing that really holds me back about him is the wholesonic thing, i mean i understand it, but it's just how he puts it out there like i don't how to explain it, but if he was just a little calm down aboutit. but he's talented no doubt about it.

It's more likely to be someone we've never heard of that jumps on the scene with some catchy @$#*.

All these new rappers are garbage, that includes every one on the original list as well. The next 5 years of rap will be people who already have a fan base, not these new dudes. MAYBE Corey but he needs to have the right promotion behind him and he needs to put more personality behind his music.

-Blu (The dude is one of the purest emcees. "Below The Heavens" is one o my favorite hip-hop albums of ALL TIME.)

-DOM KENNEDY ( His flow is so "Smooth" that it almost sounds conversational. He just sounds like what LA hip-hop should sound like)

-Wale (F**k all the hype, the dude is DOPE. Plain and simple. His unique sound and lyricism will further progress hip-hop for the better)

-Drake (Flow is effortless. I've been listening to him since I've been in 10th grade...I am a senior in college right now)

-KiD CuDi (What is there to explain? He is destined to see mainstream success for the right reasons. I have never heard anyone flow like him before andhe's extremely creative.)

-Nickelus F ( Just listen. You will understand why Drake looks up to him so much)

You're listing people that are exactly the same, I think people like the cool kids have already seen their maximum hype. Once the "sneaker trend"or whatever dies down they're going to left to dry.

And for the record I'd love to see Dom and Wale get big, don't really care about the rest of them.

wale is already big..dom on the other hand ..not so much the other dudes listed arent garbage they jus dont stick out

drake has the best chance..because he doesnt have a sneaker or fashion crowd backing him..he can reach across all types of ppl no matter what but only the lordknows what these record labels have planned
laugh.gif
the whole hipster thing hasnt been bastardized yet so im still waiting for that

I have a feeling that most of these guys yall are hyping up with see nothing more than youtube fame. It's going to be Saigon and Papoose syndrome all overagain. Some cat we never heard of is going to come out of nowhere and do it big like Plies.

... As many "d**k riders" there are for these artists there are twice as many "haters". I have NEVER fell into hype with HIP-HOP. I feel ifyou really listened to HIP-HOP you would not be biased because you think an artist has a certain "stigma/gimmick" around them. JUST LISTEN, ANALYZE,RELISTEN, LISTEN AGAIN, and than come up with a logical judgement. I think most of NT jumps to assumptions to quickly.

I listen to a lot of artists that I know will NEVER make it to the mainstream or will be crowned the next king of hip-hop. But I feel the artists that I namedwill have the best chance for mainstream success and most of them will make TIMELESS HIP HOP MUSIC because most of them already have...

All the other dudes are good, but they all sound some what the same. I would like to see Wale and Curren$y blow up though. And Cool Kids will never get bigcause the sneakerhead and tight jean trend is about to die down in a year. And after that them dudes will be irrellevant.

And real talk laugh at me all you want, in hip hop there has always been a sleeper dude that come out of nowhere and takes over the game in ex. like T.I. orWayne. The next sleeper superstar is gonna be Hurricane Chris mark my words. He just needs the right leaderand he needs to clean up his image a little.
