amazing movie.....but you know it's gonna get overlooked come Oscar time even though it deserves to win. How'd they get those little kids to act sowell?
 
movie was awesome. OP should change the title of this thread to "movie post". I need the soundtrack...any info?

as far as i remember hearing, those kids were actually slumdogs.. pretty crazy huh? the directors told them to be themselves and it turned out great

i really liked this movie...and i agree the kids did a good job with the acting....

latika is cute...sorta looks like an indian cassie at times....

i also thought jamals mom was cute lol...

the love wasnt really 100% believable but i really liked how they looked back at the end...movie was pretty long lol

i need to stop watching movies about love...

that whole aerobic exercise at the end kinda messed the mood up tho

Yeah they were actual slumdogs. Very good acting on their part, but I guess it came natural since it was everyday life for them.

It was good. Me being Indian (technically Bengali), I'm not really into Bollywood films, even though this isn't one. I was on the wallabout seeing it but a fellow NT'er recommended it so I saw it last night. It was excellent. I know its blatantly obvious but I loved how the questionspertained to every period in his life. And playing Paper Planes during the train sequence.... very dope, made me chuckle.

The only other "Indian" movie I liked was the Namesake (which is one of my favorites) so I'm 2/2 on "Americanized" Indian movies.

and I'm not fluent in urdu but I know bits and pieces and what those kids were saying had me

same here. i watched slumdog millionaire, valkyrie, benjamin button, and the spirit yesterday.....hands down, slumdog millionaire was the best.

Nevermind didnt realize they all opened on Christmas.. but still you watched 4 movies yesterday? all at the theatres?
 
Great film, i liked the little bollywood dance sequence at the end too. I never got into bollywood films, but i can appreciate the satire. And that chick wasgorgeous. +1 to my stalker list.
