I'd give seven pounds about a 6.5 or 7/10. I'm really amped to see Slumdog Millionaire, I think I might have to see it in theatres firstthough.

It was good. Me being Indian (technically Bengali), I'm not really into Bollywood films, even though this isn't one. I was on the wall about seeing it but a fellow NT'er recommended it so I saw it last night. It was excellent. I know its blatantly obvious but I loved how the questions pertained to every period in his life. And playing Paper Planes during the train sequence.... very dope, made me chuckle.

The only other "Indian" movie I liked was the Namesake (which is one of my favorites) so I'm 2/2 on "Americanized" Indian movies.

and I'm not fluent in urdu but I know bits and pieces and what those kids were saying had me

I REALLY liked this movie, and I've been telling everyone to see it but no one has really heard about it. Its weird because the first time I saw thetrailer, it was in an ad on funnyordie.com. Ever since then I've been wanting to see it and finally got to see it 2 weeks ago when classes ended. It was anamazing movie, but I don't think some of the violence was too necessary like when they got raided. Its definitely movie of the year by far and it'llbe a shame if they get snubbed come oscar time. Soundtrack was great too, A.R Rahman did a great job. For anyone that needs it, hit the PM.

My plan is to take all of my friends I've been telling to go see it, to actually go see it tonight.
 
hands down the best film I've seen all year... I loved dark knight because it's dark knight and totally different type of vibe... but not since City ofGod or Old Boy have I been this moved. this film got me and I wasn't bored for 1 second.

just watched it and it was amazing... i have to say that it was MY favorite movie of the year....
 
I'm going to go check this movie out tomorrow. I've been trying to get to it all week, but it hasn't worked out.

sunny559, Aishwarya isn't even all that compared to some of the other stars. She's overrated in my opinion.
 
I haven't seen it but my cousin saw it a couple of days ago and said it was pretty good. I'm going to have to check it out.

Excellent movie. The movie flowed smoothly, the storyline was engaging and it kept my attention the entire time. I highly recommend it.

The first 3/4 was great, but the last 1/4 got too predictable and sentimental.
