Just got done watching this and I have to agree with everyone else movie was
. Kinda has a City of God feel to it but not as rough. The characters weregreat and great acting as well. Thats
that the little kid actors were actually little slumdogs in real life. They did a great job as well. I dont knowwhat but I couldnt stop laughing at the end. I mean for real? You go from having such a serious ending then cut straight to credits with these fools dancingaround. Jamal looked like a straight herb. Id recommend to anyone tho

am i the only one who thinks it was mediocre? I mean don't get me wrong it wasn't bad by a long shot, but it definitely wasn't touching City of Godor even making it into my top movie lists.
I think Dev Patel would definitely have to be the biggest thing wrong about this movie. He's so devoid of any emotion throughout the movie that youcan't connect with him. The younger versions of him far out acted him.
but yeah I think Salim was the best part of this movie. G

good, solid movie. not great, but one of the better movies of the year by far.
it got a bit too sentimental imo and while the game show was integral to telling the story, i thought they could have focused less on that part than the actualstorytelling of the kids growing up.
freida pinto is very beautiful. like someone you would want to marry beautiful

I think that the lack of emotion was in response to his harsh childhood.
The only time he shows any emotion is around Latika, which is the only bright part of his childhood.

Loved this movie - i need to see Milk and The Reader still to be sure, but out of the 3 of 5 best picture nominees, this is by far my favorite so far.
And what's with people not getting the Bollywood song/dance at the end? I'm not even vaguely familiar with bollywood and i got it right away, andthought it was a really cool way to roll the credits.
Visually the movie was amazing.. the soundtrack was perfect... some corny parts in the movie, but it was a love story after all - at the heart of it... i thinkit's by far the best movie that came out last year, despite any flaws it might have had. just a really great movie experience in my opinion, and that'sdespite all the hype i had going into it.. definitely lived up to it.

I loved the relationship Jamal and Salim had. Even though Salim made some nasty moves,
you could see that he ALWAYS took care of Jamal, and then at the end of the movie Jamal called Salim's number as his lifeline
even after all the %%+ Salim did, I though that was pretty powerful

i seen this last week and honestly, i think this is too hyped
