it isn't....compare to a ACTUAL classic like get rich, or reasonable doubt, or ready to die and it pales in comparison.

Whats classic about this album. Biggie is one of the best rapping about getting money and jeezy falls way short of everything that man put out.

Thats the thing tho the South was goin ham when TM 101 came out. This the same feeling that I guess New York had when Illamatic or RTD came out NY got theyclassics the south got theirs. You can act like this aint a classic and I can get a whole bunch of people who will tell u that Ready to Die and ReasonableDoubt was a cool album but it didnt:
1.Make me go buy some 12s so I could hear every bassline and trumpet in the beat like TM101 did
2.It didnt have me coppin the black locs and rockin all black like some ghetto goth steez like TM101 did
3. It didnt have me rockin the snowman like TM 101 did
4. It it didnt have me answering every question by sayin YEAAAAAAAA like TM 101 did

When Trap or Die and thug Motivation came out every hood from da Sip to South Carolina was on that sh that whole 2003-2005 Jeezy movement is probally thebiggest/quickest movement by a solo artist EVER in Hip Hop

With That said:

Thug Motivation 101 IS a Classic and is in the TOP 50 rap albums of all time

Close your eyes ans pretend he's from New York

thats the problem with the south, thing ya call classic its just "meh..its cool"

our classics are universally accepted as classics.

It seems like most "Major" Rapper's first Album is a Classic for example

The Game - "The Documentary"
50 Cent - "Get Rich or Die Tryin'"
Jay-Z - "Reasonable Doubt"
Kanye West - "College Dropout"
Dr.Dre - "The Chronic"
Snoop Dogg - "DoggyStyle"
Tupac- "2Pacalypse Now"
Biggie-"Ready to Die"

All Classics

But u just said it the south say "meh its cool' Im sure the west coast aint over there sayin Reasonable Doubt is one of the best albumever either NY dudes need to get out of they shell and realize that callin an album a classic is strictly opinion. What affects a NY dude might not be felt bya dude in another region

I came to this conclusion when my cousin from NY swore to me that ATCQ was a better rap gropu than Outkast

I was like O I Get It Now

It is a "new classic" I guess, but a classic, classic? I don't know..................... And by that, I mean NO.
That's me being diplomatic.
