xrudypooh, u must be a newbie, cuz ur attempt to gain all the sneaker spots in jersey in a few days seems pretty whack...ive put mad time into discovering spots..but im not gonna hate...just had to get it off my chest...
 
xlrgNchrg - how u gonna call me a newbie when ive been registered since 2001 and u since 8/03 - how u gonna call me a newbie when all i was trying to do was provide informational services to those who are in and around the area...check the archives and you will see how many sneaker guides there are....its for people that try to help each other out...you act like u are the only one that puts time into the game to research spots...im saying in all that time that you were looking for spots - im sure one person or another has pointed you in the right direction...this is what the sneaker guide is all about

^^^ WOW Dirty went way back with Herman's!!! I remember their big Flagship store on Route 22 in Union,NJ.
 
LOL. herman's. did they sell sports equipment there too? cuz i remember buying my first basketball from there. if not, i'm dumb.
 
whoah Kups was definitely the spot. i bought my first pair of air force ones there. The Midcuts with with navy bottom and the blue denim on the swoosh.yeah i tried to stay away from af1s for as long as i could until those came out. i went to newport yesterday. they had the dunk haze hi ($150) and the low($100) at active and the obsidian dunks(i think thats the color) those black and grey low are on sale at finish line.
 
Active in Newport sucks...I was there to buy Safaris and the price tag on the bottom of the shoe said $85 and so I ask for my size and get it, which should have tipped me off that something was wrong. So I go and pay and the girl tells me $125. I point to the ones I'm wearing and say, "Stussy has em for $89, they didn't rape me. How are you guys, a ghetto-*** store gonna ask for more than a store which is way better than ya'll?" And then I storm out. I take the path to the city and buy pairs from Dr. Jays and Training Camp, both for retail, then come back to Active and show em both shoes and the reciept. Rapists.

I bought my first pair of Nikes from Hermans in Mill Creek Mall. If I recall correctly, the owner of Kups used to work for Hermans and used to handle all their Northeast accounts or something like that. He opened up his Secaucus store later and the rest is history. I really miss that store. Great people and 10-20% off everything all the time.

The first pair I ever bought for "collecting" purposes, FP1 Gold, was bought from Kups.

Active in Newport does suck. In all my years going there, Ive only met 2 friendly workers. I only go there to look at kicks. The only time I buy something is when they have that 40% off "almost" everything sale. I asked one of the workers if they would get safaris right around the time they started dropping, and he just looked at me like "wtf", then turned to his boy and shared a chuckle regarding my question. Clowns.
