damn, i love Jay-z as much as anyone!

he is a legend and a king amongst rap kings.

but NaS is the undisputed, rap god without question. it comes down to subject matter.

while jay-z is no stranger to deep thought provoking raps, NaS is head and shoulders above him in that category.

when i think jay-z i think HITS

when i think NAS i think Classics.

FTR... BUSTA was at the Nas concert on friday and he proclaimed Nas greatest rapper ever...just sayin ps....Nas is the greatest, but prodigy is my favoriterapper

I've been gone for a long time, and I'm glad to see most of y'all have matured when it comes to this topic. Now with that said, I think Jay-Z isbetter, but Nas is still my favorite.

Dont start with that....Nas fans on here will flame you for it, regardless of how true it is. I am a huge fan of both artists, but the bottom line is Nas hascome out with WAY more trash than Jay has. Sure Jay has some forgettable material (Kingdom Come), but Nas has Nastradamus, Gods Son, Street Disciple....thelist goes on. Now I like every album I mentioned because I love the artists, but the plain and simple fact is Nas has a lot of mediocre to horrible material, yet a lot of Nas fans feel the need to give him a pass because he is a legend. Just because NaS raps about real #$*! doesnt mean they are good songs. Being agood MC with great lyrics and delivery doesnt necessarily equate to great music. To me, NaS is the KING of this exact thing. Good lyrics, good delivery, wackbeat and chorus which make up an average to trash song. I am not doubting his lyricism, which is on point. He just doesnt always make really good music.

Jay>>Nas

Aside from albums , Nas` unreleased songs and guest apperances shame those of Jigga .

Jayz is a pioneer and definitley one of the greats but Nas` career is musically monumental . Dude has transitioned through the years doing what he wants ,that`s something I respect .

Nas unreleased songs are pretty on point, but I would LOVE to know how you figure his guest appearances shame those of Jay-Z's.

I mean.....Guess Who's Back, Get By, Welcome to NY City, Beware of the Boys, Swagga Like Us, Frontin, What We Do......the list goes on and on. What kind ofguest appearances shame those? Come on homie.
