vkhoj,

I've had no problems with the heel. It got stepped on while i was playing and nothing happened.

I have both the all-star h2k5 and the shox xplosive, and I must say, I prefer the h2k5 over the shox xplosive. Although the shox xplosive fits like a glove and has pretty decent ankle support, I like the court feel and the cushioning of the h2k5 better. It seems to me that my feet feel more connected to the court in the h2k5 than in the higher profile shox xplosive. As long as the superb traction of the h2k5 stays pretty consistent(i play at an upkept gym, I would pick the h2k5 over the xplosive. I'm not sure about what effects the nike free technology/inspiration/(whatever you want to call it) has on the shoe. At first, walking in them they felt a bit stiff around the ball of my foot, but once I got going up and down the court, I didnt feel anything, it felt like a normal shoe, but more responsive to my foot propulsion. Like other's mentioned, the cushioning is quite mushy at first, but I got used to it pretty fast as I broke in the shoe. I think I might buy another couple of pairs(black/black and nikeid) to put into rotation/hibernation. This is a simply a quality shoe, and I would recommend it to any 1,2, or light 3.

I remember someone posting a while back that the 2k5s chaffs the ankle( achilles ) when wearing no-show socks...does this happen to everyone who wears low cut socks? or was it just his 2k5's a defect?

i have both H2K4 and H2K5. to me H2K4 is a lighter and more comfortable, while H2K5 has more support. but then again H2K4 is at the very end of the lightness and comfort spectrum, so there's nothing bad about the H2K5. very well rounded..

in terms of inspired by free, i see more similiarities in H2K4. notice the midsole, the toepiece, the perforations in the upper, the stretchy thin material. and i feel H2K4 is conceptually more "free" in terms of lightness and flexibility. probably because eric avar developed them in about the same time.

How would these fit for someone who is 6'2, bout 250 pounds of twisted steal and sex appeal?? i got kinda a wide foot not 2 bad

I finally played in my pair today (blue/grey). The cushioning was great, and overall fit was also great.

I had a few problems with the shoes though. My first problem was that the side/tip of the tongue on the left shoe was pressing up on my ankle real hard. To the point were I had to put the tongue over the material that connects to the strap. I don't know if anyone else had experienced this problem.

The second problem was that in the forefoot, the shoe stickes out a little (to have a wider base imo) that area of the shoe felt uncomfortable a few times, and I had to move my foot to the other side of the shoe, closer to the lateral side.

Traction was pretty good, ankle support was good, breathability was also good.

Looks like a good shoe that I will use a lot over the summer.

My 2k5 had the same problem, but once u break into it, approximately 5 times wears, the problem will disappear.

It's really a wondeful balling shoe, every snug, ridiculously good cushioning, but i think it run half size larger, longer exactly. i had 8.5, my regular size, but there's some room left empty in the forefoot area, about half an inch extra, but that's not a big problem tho, it's still excellent on my feet, I would say if u want a perfect fit, go half size down.

That really sucks. Nike should have Identified that problem during product testing. I wonder why they never solved this problem.

I wore my black/purple 2k5s for the first time yesterday and I wasn't all that impressed with the cushioning nor the comfort. The shoes were really tight but hopefully that will ease up after a couple more wearings. I really didn't notice the zoom air that much, i love the zoom air in the foamposite pros and the flightposites III's. That the real deal zoom air. You can feel it with every step. What I felt yesterday didn't match up at all. Traction was good even thought I didn't hear a lot of squeaks on my cuts and slashes. Hopefully these issues will be resolved after the break in period. I still love the shoe, it looks great.

I got the Laker colorway wore em about 4 times 5+ hours each time playing in em when i say playing i mean shoting around or playing in thos 5+ hours yea anyway

ankle support i didnt really like hurt my ankle in em first time i hurt my ankle ever i wore VC3's and LBJ2's b4 and they gave awsome ankle support

the air zoom isnt as responsive as the lebrons 2 which isnt coool |I
