i have officially joined the bandwagon of cats who love niketalk but hate yuku.
i hope the admins/mods take this seriously and don't think i'm trying to diss the site.
 
^^^not sure. it popped up twice just now for me. when i select "deny access", it only closes the internet window with niketalk on it.
 
I effed up my sis' laptop with NT.

I've never gotten a virus. It may be you need better protection. I don't even get those advertisements at the top of the page haha

nah but really, when i go back to school, idk what imma do. even though lately it seems to be ok, screens arent freezin up nd $%$$ like before.

maybe. i'm on my company's laptop, sitting at my desk at work behind the corporate firewall. we use mcafee (and i added antivir guard) -i'm not defending the firewall or mcafee, just giving the particulars.

i would wait til i get home to get on the site (i don't have these problems with my macs, at least not yet), but then i'd be screwed on re-stocks andother sneaker news (not to mention the George W. BUSH unappreciation thread thats killin it right now).
 
This .pdf file keeps trying to load for me. I thought it was gone till I turned off no script then the pdf came up smh
 
im using firefox right now but how do i make the settings to protect my computer properly?
 
I said "Norton FTW", but I'm not too sure anymore.

When I visit certain sites, Norton still finds the adobe virus.

Is it the site, or is it my comp?
 
That's why I stopped using safari on my computer b/c I couldn't get ad block for it.
I do still surf on my iPod though.
 
honestly...while I've already made my negative feelings known to the yuku team in the support forums...are you sure it's from yuku?...the only adnetwork they are running is a google one.

i'm pretty sure it's from yuku...when i'm surfing on my work laptop, i only hit so many sites (cnn, engadget, niketalk, msnbc, etc. - you get theflava), as i'm not trying to get fired for complete stupidity (although partial stupidity is acceptable).

the week before christmas (i think) it was ridiculous...the virus/malware/whatchamacallit basically shut my computer down (processing speed was awful). thenite before, i was on niketalk. the next day, i'm at work and these internet pages keep popping up, and i get the corporate internet (firewall) errors"sex/bondage are prohibited by your company firewall" and that type of jazz.

another day the virus was actually frickin successful in causing a frickin porn site to pop up!!!! while i'm at work!!! at my desk!!!

if it's not yuku, then it's a REALLY big problem, cause with the exception of engadget, all those other sites get more page views than NT (nodisrespect).
