If a man has no physical disabilites and is homeless, do u feel bad for him. When i was younger i did but now that im older and work hard why should i? I meanif u have two jobs that pay minimum wage and work 30 hours a week at both jobs, you should be A ok. So why worry and care for them? I truely dont get whysomeone who wakes up at 6am and pays bills drops a single red cent in their cup.

Unless you've walked in their shoes, how can you really judge? Homeless is homeless, it's sad regardless.

I dont feel bad at all.

1) A lot of them aren't homeless, that is their job. I used to know a guy that did that, he said he'd come home with $800 a day sometimes.

2) I work hard for my money, why can't they?

3) Like you said, I have my own problems.

I don't feel bad, but some days I'll feel some type of way....like, "Damn, how is it that I am fortunate enough, yet you aren't? Whatthe hell happened to where you're like this?" If it's one of those days where I got a lot of money, I'll toss off a dollar, and tell him/her"Keep your grades up." I find it quite polite.

The homeless are uber persistent...every time i go to 7-11 the same bum is always there asking to pump my gas...i go there at least 4-5 times a week..its likedude c'mon.

Nope not at all. I go to school where the campus is filled with homeless people. After seeing them for so long u stop giving a damn about them.

Yea I feel bad for them but you never know if they are scammin you or are gonna buy drugs with the money you give them.

Yea, how do you know what exactly happened in ones' life? I will say (somewhat off topic) I'm hesitant to hand out pocket change because I don'twant my money spent on cigarettes or alcohol. I rather help someone out with food. But I do feel sorry for homeless people in general. Situations may vary.

I never did. I read The Street Lawyer by John Grisham, and I still don't.

A good majority of them were just down on their luck and couldn't find a place to stay, so they reverted to the streets, and stayed there. They reallydon't want any pity from anybody. There are shelters all around that will cater to them. Some even squat. They've learned to deal with their fate.

They get a free meal, place to stay, and meet friends along the way. I can't feel bad for them because they don't have a house.

too hard to tell who really needs the help and who does not. unfortunately, too many bad run ins makes me not fool with most of them. there's been a fewthough that are known around the way. you sometimes get to know them and what their needs are.

i feel bad for the homeless that didnt deserve to end up like that. i certainly dont feel bad for the ones i see on the street that are alcoholics, druggies,or gamblers or watever. they did wrong and karma came.

it won't be so funny when more and more people start losing their homes near you this year

Yup-- did a program in high school where we shared a meal with homeless men once each week. Never met so many dudes with college degrees who had just fallenon bad luck or who had been scammed by someone else (sometimes family members). If anything, it helped me realize that we're all just a bad break awayfrom homelessness (especially these days).

anyone ever see a homeless couple argue? its the funniest thing in the world...they have no place to sleep but still find a way to find something to argueabout...

but i do feel bad b/c you never know what led someone to being homeless

Even still.... some people are born alcoholics.... born addicted to drugs. Not everyone made a conscious choice to piss their life away. Realtalk...there's a new wave of homeless dudes around my way who are ex-professionals who were prescribed oxy-contin for chronic back pain. After addiction, theylost everything and became homeless. Tell me that was a choice... tell me they chose that life.

it would depend on their circumstance but since i never stop and conversate with them, i have no way of knowing why they're in this predicament, so no idon't feel sorry for them. although on some cold nights i do kinda feel bad that they're outside sleeping somewhere under newspapers or dirty linen.seeing homeless people remind me of how blessed i am, and also motivates me to strive harder in college and at work, i'll be damned if i turn out likethat. they can find SOMETHING to do with all that time they spend begging they could be applying for jobs.

oh and i went to miami and saw homeless people that felt we owed them for some reason. umm NO.

applying for jobs?! f outta here!!! I have two friends who graduated from drexel and columbia and they can't even get jobs!!

but for real--very few places of work are homeless friendly--there's this organization in DC called street sense that gives homeless men and women jobs asvendors of a newspaper written by and for homeless individuals (www.streetsense.org) Mad respect for this organization.
