Official Air Jordan IV "Mars" post...

I was holding off saying anything until I actually handled the shoe, and today I did at my local FL and I was impressed. After read all the complaints about leather quality I expected worse than the Oly 7s but was pleasantly surprised. It was love at first sight for me. I would defiantly get more than 2 pairs if I weren't saving for future releases. But I will be at my mall some time before 6am.
Just my opinion.

#1 problem - PLEATHER was used.Thinned out cheap leather.

#2 problem - Shape has been changed to a banana curve.

#3 problem - Mesh is straight instead of being slanted and tongue is thin..no padding.

#4 problem - No NIKE AIR back in original memory and homage.

#5 problem - Spike Lee Mars Blackmon face used as a GIMMICK to sell the shoe.

#6 problem - shoe is NOT for basketball used any more..it's now just for walking and to match clothing.


#1 The ONE and only good thing about it : The FireRed Colorway has returned but many corners are cut.Don't know how long this shoe will hold up.

maybe it's just a shoe for the MOMENT,until the next release gets here.

I seen a sample shoe under glass and 2 pairs still in the box. The black paint on the midsole looks like a 6 year-old's work. Still picking them up nonetheless.

TIP FOR ALL BUYERS: Inspect the shoe very well before you buy it. Make sure tounges are the same length, the Mars head printed on well enough, and the black paint on the midsole is not smeared or splattered.
I am another 15 year-old Asian/Pacific Islander thug gangster... if that matters.

i hear you. from the pictures and all i like them, but i will have to go see them for myself, you know? and then i can just make the decision at that moment. maybe you should do the same, you know? go check it out, you may feel different. i already have the white lasers, but i love spike, so i may get one to rock and keep the lasers on ice for a while. but when i go to the store and check them out, if I feel its worth it to copp, then I will do so. if not, i will walk away. its that simple!

i want to see the shirts! any with mars so far? people are talking about shirts, but i only saw a couple so far. post them, or links to where they can be viewed online. thanks in advance.

also, since this is a general release and they will be everywhere, do you guys think they will still be sitting around like the cardinals, or probably not? just a question.

got to hold em finally... its not too bad overall the only thing kills me is that little face and the pleather they used on the shoes.......
ill be passin on them but my son will see them on his feet......
one thing I don't get it though the fact that JB knows we'll spend whatever on them shoes so why in the world can they produce quality shoes and slap a higher price on them?!?!
I mean we spent a lot of money on 17s,18s,etc and I'm sure we don't mind payin a little higher price for quality retros...

and yes, they magically appear right at midnight. You just have to be there.

If you wait for a link to be put on NT, chances are you'll miss the release(not sure how fast cards sold out on eastbay, but these will be just as quick more than likely, only because of how many pairs there are)
