They script is usually on point and the movies tend to be decent to great.
I've seen:
100lb Beauty
SunFlower
My Sassy Girl
Windstruck
My Son (my favourite)
For Horowitz/My Piano
Sex is Zero
When I turned 9

What are yall favourite korean movies and any recommendations?!

Old Boy is a renowned favorite.

And one of my favorite war movies: Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War.
O by the way, it's nice to see all races enjoying Korean films.

Same. Picked it up at the movie store a few years back, loved it. Really good story.

I really wanna see Old Boy, but just never get around to it.

Wow, what a great thread....I own in excess of 60 - 70 Korean film and go to the festival every year to catch up on the new ones. In my experience the bestfilms are...

JSA (superb)
Failan
The King & The Clown
Tae Guk Gi (also know as Brother hood)
My Sassy Girl

But the best 2 films I've ever watched are...

only got a couple since i'm not that into Korean movies..

OldBoy, good film
Almost Love, saw it on the plane (Korean Airlines) on my way to the Philippines and made me cry.

saw the host but it was kinda stupid, and i didn't like the ending.

Chingu
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring
Lady Vengeance
Mr. Vengeance
I'm a Cyborg but that's OK

Attack the Gas Station - 4 young men repeatedly attack the same gas station. One night the registers are "short" so they refuel incoming cars andpocket the money. A lot of hilarity ensues during their stay at the gas station. If you're Korean (or into / know about) the culture, its interesting tosee the way they restructure society as they see fit

Dirty Carnival - Korean gangster film that centers around an up and coming gangster and his friend, whom he is helping to make a "realistic" gangsterfilm
3 Iron
100 Days With Mr Arrogant

Whats a good movie with a great script? something like MY SON or Sunflower? Korean make the best sad movies
