I'm really considering moving down to Ft. Lauderdale for Jacksonville and I need to know what life like in Ft. Lauderdale. Also what are some good schoolsand what is the average price of living down there. I can go to google to find out this info, but I'm trying to get some of NT's opinions on Ft.Lauderdale, thanks in advance!!!

305 > 954

co-sign 305 FTW
but other then that yea miami is pretty expensive but you can find a 1 bedroom apt. for like 700 depending on where you look.
Anything you wanna know just ask, Im sure us down south NT'ers can help.

It is appalling how you don't have a clue about where you are moving.

Only do Miami if you're gonna live in a $$$ area, as the bulk of the city is rather slummy and 3rd world-@%%. That being said, they do have a suaveselection of ladies, nightlife options and other various venues for people in their 20s-30s.

Naw I live in Florida I keep hearing different length of how far they are, just asking. And I've been to Miami a couple times and really like it donethere.

Thats why you learn. I know a bit about South Florida I'm just trying to get some suggestions from NT thats all.

Miami is about 20 minutes away from the dale, trust me I make that trip quite often. Like I said before the price of living down here is high. Ft Lauderdalehas some cool spots but people are still frontin on the cost of rent(even relative to here its fairly high). Depending on where you live the neighborhood maybe a bit more lively than others or may be hood but thats any city. Downtown is poppin with the lounges and clubs at night and some other small spots but itsnothing like South Beach but then again...its South Beach lol. It doesn't really matter though because your so close to it. Miami is cool too, it has itsown vibe to it but so does Ft Lauderdale. Honestly I think you should research more about potential areas of interest in both cities then set some time asideand REALLY just drive/walk around to get a good idea about the different areas to see what's good for you.

Man..nvm..

If your movin for schools, UM is good but expensive. The only really good school in Florida is UF, depending on how youve done in school of course. Im eithergoin to UF or out of state. but yeah it is expensive. I live in Broward, still in high shool so I live with my parents. Prices are falling though. I seen mostof the cities down here are working extra hard to provide low cost housing so hold out for a lil before pullin the trigger

Mangudai954 and dendanskesimon thanks for the help I appreciate it.

Mangudai954 can you possibly through out some prices out of some of the apartment(2 bedrooms)?

No I cant unfortunately. When we were looking we were looking for 3's. That was ranging anywhere from 12-- to 1600.

Man, you're not lying.

Kids scoop up a pair of 2008 SBs, they suddenly think their run of sneakers is ridiculously ill.

And when some heat hits the any of the 5 outlets, dudes are mad cutthroat!

If it's not the stingy employees buying up the entire stock, then it's a number of hypebeasts fighting over a pair that's not even their size.

Miami > Ft. Lauderdale > Orlando
