Going to the gym after new years UNAPPRECIATION

Everyone has a new years resolution. But everyone sits on the benches, and machines, and cardio equipment and plays on their phone and "rests". Justsave people that are REALLY there to workout the frustration and just don't go...it'll only be a week before they stop anyway. /rant

ehh...not that bad for weight lifting in my gym. I didn't check the upstairs where the treadmills are, but I assume it's much worse.

Haha, so true.

Plus the gym I go to back home just added a new center with 40+ cardio machines and 30+ strength training machines so during my daily routine today, I waschecking out the situation with all the old people checking out the new equipment in absolute awe. It was funny for quite some time and it should last for atleast a month because it just opened today.

word man. These dudes messing up my training, got my heart rate slowing down taking, plates and dumbells nowhere oto be found, and falling asleep on machines& %+!$

I went today and it was more busy than usual. It was mostly cute females so i wasnt complaining.

I'm glad there wasn't anyone like that in my gym just sitting around on the equipment doing nothing after new years. The only unappreciation I had wasseeing some weight gain after new years like 3 pounds and having to work it off again.

and I forgot to add I go to Planet Fitness while I'm home from school on breaks and such and it's much more tailored to say, people who aren't invery good shape and don't really workout much. There slogan is a "judgement free zone" and they have pizza nights every first monday of the monthand bagel morning the first tuesday. So I see all these people clogging my treadmills walkin burnin 1 calorie a minute with a plate full of pizza

Very true, but I can't get mad at people trying to better themselves....

....that and I know that by February it will be back to normal.

it is only temporary, many will lose hope when they realize it doesn't come over night.

for some ppl like myself..the gym is my place of solace..i socialize, meet ppl and its the only time i have to myself and with ppl like me..with that said ihate ppl who criticize others. i mean if u wanna speed thru and jus work out fine, but dont criticize others. gym is more than just a place to workout.

unappreciated. always the worst. just like when basketball courts magically start to fill up when NBA season starts and wait times are outta hand.

I'm not sayin that. Cause when I workout with others I like to talk and have a good time while working out...but don't be sitting on the benches textmessaging and callin your friends talkin about what you're gonna do later ya know?

I just signed up for the gym today, but I'm all business. Hurt my achilles (I'm a runner) so I need to use the cardio machines for a while.

I was on the elliptical for 60 minutes and every 10 minutes someone would stand in front of the machine and shoot me a "Almostfinished?" look. I just scowled at them like Chris Webber and kept churning my legs to the sounds of M.O.P.

I'm gonna go later tonight. Around midnite or so. I hate waiting to get in on stations and those folks who wanna work in.

Jan. is the worse at the local gyms, they will weed themselves out soon though. I hate it also.

It actually wasnt bad at all at my gym, it had just opened back up and i dont think people knew it was open. I cant imagine what'll look like in theevening.

def gonna be unappreciated. bout to in in 20 min and know that I'm going to see a bunch of people just doing nothing on the machines.

You should be cool. 5-9 is the worst.

People just be sitting of the machines. And you ask them if you can work in and they are like "I'm almost done"

I say well that means we only need to share for a couple of sets.
