Going to the gym after new years UNAPPRECIATION

I go late like @ 11:30, then get out around 1. I'm a night person so this works wel'l, plus it's damn near empty.

and bagel morning the first tuesday. So I see all these people clogging my treadmills walkin burnin 1 calorie a minute with a plate full of pizza

I can't do that cause even after I shower, there's no way I'd be able to fall asleep even by like 2:30

Same with MMA gyms. The beginner classes are always packed with scrawny dudes who decide "This is the year of reckoning!"

People just be sitting of the machines. And you ask them if you can work in and they are like "I'm almost done"

I say well that means we only need to share for a couple of sets.

No offense bruh, but I hate people that want to "work in". Just chill or go do something else while I finish up. It either throws ofmy timing, or dudes want to chat, or dudes want a spot.

Anyway, going early in the morning FTW.

Even though people's resolution is to workout, it is never to workout and start waking your *$@ up early,

my gym they used to stop the bball games and kick us off the court for like 15 minutes to feed us pizza for "member appreciation day" like every 6months. I was in high school so I shoved down like 3 slices and got back on the court. they were too cheap/dumb to give us free smoothies from the bar to getus hooked, that would've made too much sense.

So what if a 35 Year old wants to learn the basics... its called beginners class for a reason

Straight hate

Lol so true, just came from gym and saw alot of new people, they do 5 reps and jump to the next machine they all over the place. Once they feel the pain andcan't get off bed the next day they won't be coming back. One time I was doing seated rows next to a guy who was about to benchPress. I guess that hewas thinking once he got it off the bars it wouldn't be hard to put it back up. He was wrong, he almost choked on 250 pounds with no spotter. Lucky I wasthere to help him.

It's not even about that dude. They just come in with unrealistic expecations. Like they're gonna be Fedor at the bar after a week of rolling sessionsand bag work. Just like the people who think they're gonna get brolic in no time, they all fade out when they realize they work they have to put it. Idon't care; I just think it's funny, because you can recognize those types immediatley.

No mate, I didn't start for that reason. I just thinkit's fun sport. I don't look to prove myself.

part of the reason why i stopped going to gym after my membership expired.

which is why i invested on workout equipment years ago and set it up in the basement

I think that has more to do with the fact that it's too cold to play outside, and people need to find a place to play, and less with peopletrying to get their Kobe Bryant on.

i try to avoid the gym the first few weeks into the new year. by the end of the month, all the new year's resolutions will dwindle down and i'll beable to hit the weights.

i've been doing cardio at the house and running outside at the park. it's actually refreshing to see there's no one in front of me when i'mrunning outside.

Me and my pops just left the gym, it was no machines so we had to leave. They dude that runs the gym told us to come back in Feb. cause all those people willbe gone and at the Checkers and McDonalds across the street.

I just go pretty late when it's cleared out already.. I don't really mind because it'll gradually fade within the next couple of weeks. Butthere's a couple of spikes in attendance - after New Year's and right before Summer are the most noticeable.
