Ive had it since Im 6 (Im 26 now).  Its beat up but Im going to repaint it and fix the chips on it.






Also have this poster from 1990 which is in decent shape considering its been rolled up since.

Hence why I'm still patiently waiting for a complete series boxed set. I don't know who's in charge of making the DVD's, but I really hate how they're releasing them

a little minor update

Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman had a quarterly earnings call for his company yesterday, and with that he updated a number of awaited projects from his brand which owns Paramount. Here's a brief rundown of some of the highlights.

- He says that JJ Abrams is hard at work on STAR TREK 2 and they're aiming for a 2013 release.

- He notes that the live-action NINJA TURTLE movie that's forthcoming will actually be a joint venture with Nickelodeon, which also has a new animated series for the Turtles.

- He says there is "clearly interest" in the PARANORMAL franchise, and a fourth movie is being brainstormed as we speak, though nothing is official yet.

- "It would be silly for us not to talk about having another TRANSFORMERS movie."

So there you have it, three sequels and a reboot. Hooray! About par for the course these days. If the Paranormal franchise goes back any further in the family's history, we're going to be watching a silent film set in the 1900s.

As for Transformers, I'm still wondering if they'll manage to get Bay back, as he made an insane amount of money from those movies, and might not think he needs any more. Rather he can get back to other projects that don't involve actual advertisements as the lead characters.

The recycling of our childhood toys just keeps getting better and better! First, Masters of the Universe Classics rekindled our love of magical barbarians. Then, ThunderCats Classics brought Lion-O back into our lives. Now, some of the most cherished (and radical) heroes of our youth have been re-imagined with the release of Playmates Toys' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classic Collection! That's right, TMNT Classics! We were awash with nostalgia when first seeing these photos, and it has torn us up inside having to wait until now to share the Turtle Power with all of you in this first look! Playmates Toys, the company behind the vintage TMNT line, has taken the same looks from the 1988 TV show and perfected them by adding tons of articulation and joined that with the smooth sculpting of those original Heroes in a Half-Shell.

Read on for pics of the first four figures in the line and a little bit of our jibber-jabber.



Michelangelo
As you can see, Michelangelo has actual chain links holding his nunchucku together and articulated fingers keeping them firmly in his grasp. Yes, articulated fingers. We live in an age of miracles!



Leonardo
Leo, like the other 6" figures in the line, features around 30 points of articulation including dual-hinged knees and what appears to be a ball-joint torso. Not too shabby...



Raphael
The rebel of the group comes equipped with his sais. Like the vintage figure, they are able to be stored in the loops on the front of his belt. The same can be said for the other Turtles, with each having a place to hold their weapons when not in battle.



Donatello
That big "D" on the belt helps cement this ninja as Donatello. Once again, this takes a cue from the vintage figures which used the initialed belts and color-coded masks and pads to help kids more easily know which Turtle was their favorite-- and which one was getting taken down by Shredder!

So there you have it: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classic Collection! All four turtles look great and we hope there is a second series in the works, because we must have Classic-ized versions of Shredder, Casey Jones, Splinter, and April to fill out the ranks. We want these-- Now! However, it looks like we're gonna have to wait until Toy Fair to get a closer look at the four brothers.

Hmmm..I wonder how these figures look when they officially release. I still think the NECA TMNT figures are the best...

I cannot believe how much the figures are worth now. =( I wanted the black and white set.
 
has yet to be determined
the only thing that I found out is that they should be releasing in the Fall. Sometime before the holidays this year. I'll update once I find out more.
