Official TMNT thread, return of the classic giant figures

I can only somewhat agree. Bay just goes overboard with the comedy. If he can rein it in, maybe it'll work, but the fact it got worse with the TF sequels, makes me real skeptical.
O don't get me wrong, I'm 100% skeptical but I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. TF started off solid, not great, but good enough. Tf1 storyline was easy enough to work, hopefully tmnt can follow that.

Shredder

I like it. Looks like a mixture of Megatron, Sauron, and Lord Zedd. Haha

photo of the toys... :nerd:

I just keep staring at the picture, and the more I look the more I see the correlation it has with Transformers. I swear I see those cybertronic symbols on Leo's shell, and then you got Shredder looking like Megatron's twin. I wonder if there's going to be a chase scene on the Turtle Van just like Bad Boys 2 and Transformers 3

@ the turtles.

CGI just takes so much charm out of the turtles compared to the toys, movies, show, and video games of my childhood.

I haven't been keeping up with this movie, but the design says "taking itself to seriously."

my son ralph with the durag
shredder is decent
overall not feelin the new look of the turtles, but its w/e. they look like their homeless

As for the size of the turtles. I think it's just raph who's the most brolic. Mikey seemed smaller but they still will be somewhat big of going by this set pic. I'm guessing this is raph

Megan fox is kinda short though. Guessing the turtles would be around 6 foot tho

It's confirmed, Nike is part of the film now  :nerd: (funny since this is NT)

So now that we know Leo sports a Nike shinguard, will Don wear a Fuelband to detect Ooze, Raphael a Nike headband, and Mike everyones favorite shoes
yeezys :nthat:

diggin the look of the turtles n shredder.

theyre battle hardened, homeless (for the most part) turtles. in the "real world" theyre suppossed to look ragged.

the problem with most movies that start out as video games or comics is that they make the characters clothing/attire too bright in effort to match the look of their comic/video game counterparts.

lovin the dark look of the characters. hope theres a dark feel to the movie in general. would be perfect if the movie was rated R. raph cursin, mike smokin (b/c we all kno he would in the real world). leo stabbin n slashin flesh. would def make for a great tmnt movie.

That just sounds ridiculous

But yeah, I'm not entirely against what I'm seeing so far. Have we seen any Foot Soldiers yet?

Why does every Comic/Cartoon franchise since Nolans Batman Re-hash have to be over realistic and dark ? ... So corny....

Were talking about the Ninja Turtles.... Not Spawn.... I want to see them keep it lighthearted in stride with the original.

They are also catering to kids man so you knowww is not going to be Rated R nor have Mikey smoking.. Just think about it, Teenage smoking turtles.. NOT GONNA FLY.

They don't want kids going to Wal-Mart and buying the mask and weapons, while rocking a joint in their mouth

Although the first movie had kids smoking cigs

Times have changed, I know they wouldn't show that now in a new TMNT movie.

How "dark" is the movie? Pretty sure nobody knows as of now. Let's be honest, we'd rather have the puppets (suits) from the OG movie but they didn't go with that. The updated turtles are different but if they just cgi'd the OG turtles how boring would that of been?

I hate that they're cgi'ing the turtles btw. I'm a fan of good costumes (Aliens, predator, OG turtles, ect). Just seems like a lazy cop out

Please let Leo and Ralph have a scene where they're looking at the royal and blk/red 1's on eBay.

I wonder what pop culture references the turtles throw in..... If you rewatch the first one you realize that almost everything they said was a nod to something
