Official TMNT thread, return of the classic giant figures

I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE TALK OF PLOT HOLES. HAVE YOU GUYS NOT SEEN THE ORIGINAL? I THINK THE HOLES ARE KEEPING IN SPIRIT OF THE ORIGINAL MOVIES

ME AND MY WIFE WATCHED THE ORIGINAL MOVIE EARLIER TODAY AND WAS LIKE, WTF? THERE ARE HOLES ALL OVER THE PLACE

STILL THINK THE NEW ONE IS :pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

READY FOR A SEQUEL

My sentiments exactly

This and the OG movie aren't even comparable because they share nothing in common besides being about the turtles, THATS IT.

Never mind the cgi vs suits or whatever, let's just talk story.

OG story was silly but it was still to the point and connected the foot with the turtles in a way that gave each party a motive. Splinters master was killed by shredder. Freak accident makes turtles. Foot clan captures splinter. Turtles go to get splinter.

In this movie the shedder is trying to help the scientist make money? The scientist was raised by shredder? Scientist is Aprils dads friend? Splinter has no connection to shredder? April sneaks into super secret lab facility and feeds the super secret experiments pizza? They found the turtles so let's release a gas into the air that we've never used for 15 years in a machine that just happens to be there for 15 years?

 I mean come on

Again with all that said its worth the watch just to see the turtles on the screen. The scenes with only Megan fox as the focus were brutal though

The movie has absolutely 0 logic, I feel like it was written by a 12 year old...

There are plot holes and then there's just horrible writing. This movie is like a bad episode of the cartoon expect you can't just wait for next week to redeem it. This is all we get

In the theatre waiting for the movie to start and it's so packed :wow:

Kids all over the lobby and in the theatre running around. Holy ****

Got forced to watch this complete piece of @#$@ today even after I argued that we should watch something else :x never talking to the person who took me ever again.

OK I will but at least not today

When I went yesterday.. Families were wearing TMNT Merchandise from head to toe.. One family was literally popping off the price tags of the tees in the lobby.. This franchise is going to make a lot of $..

Nobody thought the OG movie was great in 1990 FYI

It gained it's cult status as years went on

Bro I thought it was the greatest thing I had ever seen as a kid  which is probably what a lot of kids are thinking right now...lol

Was shooting a little boys bday party and they all were talkin bout ninja turtles, felt like I hopped on a time machine...except it seems Mikey gets no where near the same amount of love he did from my generation....this new generation seems to resonate more with Raph's bad *** attitude, I didn't appreciate Raph till I was much older.

Because we were kids when it happened; I remember going to see it and I remember the reviews and what parents thought of it

Memory > statistic

I was all about Mikey and Donny when I was young. I didn't really get Raphael until I was a teenager myself. I really hate what they did with Donatello in this film. Did they really have to make my dude THAT nerdy. Come on...

Go look at the reviews from 1990 and not when they were revisited 10 years later

 ooooooooooooook

That's not what you said.

"I remember the reviews and what parents thought of it"

And even then the OG film was reviewed better than this one

Yeah Donnie got SHAFTED, how ironic

The kids at this party HATED Donnie, broke my heart, had to let them know, you either love all the turtles or you don't love them at all, they laughed at me....yeah I gotta say even looking back and if right now we put the first film and this one side by side, the first one obliterates this one....the first one makes you care for the turtles more and the supporting characters are actually ok, i didn't get the hate for Fox, till I watched her take over the screen time of this film, she was horrendous.

Because I do remember but I was pointing out that since I didn't write it in a journal to peep the reviews if you don't believe me

Seriously I think you need to take a break from NT sometimes

what did ya'll expect with a movie directed by Michael Bay, nothing but explosions, shots of Megan good and decent storyline.

i'll wait for the dvd or comes on demand

I just got back from watching the film fellas....

I can't even lie...I liked the film a lot

I wanted so bad to not like the film after reading what you guys had to say about the numerous plot holes and everything but it just didn't stick out to me as much, maybe because I knew what I was getting into. First off, let me say I don't think I've enjoyed looking at Megan Fox as much as I did with this film. She's always been annoying to me but she was really hot in this film for some reason. Her as April did what she was suppose to do. My favorite thing about the movie of course were the turtles. Their personalities just shined through every scene. I couldn't help but fall in love with each one all over again like I was 6 years old. Michelangelo was hilarious. Donatello was endearing, Leonardo was noble and my boy Ralph was the gawd turtle :smokin but man splinter CAN GET DOWN! Say what you want about this film but you can't act like splinter wasn't awesome. You've never seen him move like that in any of the films or cartoons for that matter. Shredder was brutal but could've been a little more menacing. There are minor gripes here and there but I loved how the turtles were so close to one another. The scene where they get caught by splinter and Mikey snitches for a slice of pizza

Awesome film :nthat: eating Pizza Hut all of next week in honor of my childhood being appeased by this film.

I also noticed they showed ZERO shots of Megan's deformed thumbs

The crazy thing was I kept trying to find a scene where they'd show her thumb. Every scene with her looking at her phone or grabbing a fence or something her thumb was conveniently tucked or positioned.

Mikey tripping out over the YouTube video of the cat playing chop sticks with chop sticks

...and he said something about the Wu Tang when April was climbing the ladder to take the pic of them the first time she sees them :nerd:
