Well atleast we know now shrek has family

The source claims that roughly one-third of the film is being completely reshot and that producer Michael Bay is personally overseeing work on the film – which has taken away valuable time from his work on Transformers: Age of Extinction post-production.

A THIRD...srs Mike Bay

Hopefully that third of reshoots is patching up the turtles faces a bit.

I know it too late to overhaul the turtles completely because toys and merch have already been made but seriously they need to fix the turtles faces. Maybe try to make the cgi look a bit more realistic if they can

he's not though. Dude who did wrath of titans and battle: los angeles is

Without passing judgement cause I never seen a single movie he's done but that still doesn't give hope to this movie. I heard little to nothing about both of those films.

I liked Battle LA though

One of the gap-toothed Marines from that movie is playing Michelangelo, who also plays Mickey on Shameless.

I'll never understand the Michael bay hate is his job as a director not to make the movie fun and have it make money? Cause dude consistently does both

Definitely not always the case. Some directors just want to make a good film where they know it won't make money. Then you have people like him that makes movies to entertain without really focusing on the story of things. I just think we live in a world where criticism is apparent. We have Yelp, comments on Youtube, Twitter....I mean we are a generation that is meant to hate if something looks bad.

Also the Bay hate really stems from mostly Transformers and I guess Pearl Harbor. Transformsers is a given since there is such a huge fan base and he did no justice to the cartoons. Plus he had 3 (now 4) times to do it better and each sequel, it just gets worse. Pearl Harbor hate was mostly cause he did a Titanic on a real event in history.

Yeah to each his own, but I know what I'm getting with a Michael bay film. Most of them suck, I'll watch this for nostalgia reasons and nothing more.

Still doesn't justify the hate to me dudes never tried to be a Scorsese type bays just a guy who likes making action movie not earning oscars dude found his niche and makes millions

I'm expecting this to be just as bad as the TF movies, and yet I'll still go watch it in the theaters :smh:

Damn! The almighty Nelson C gracing general with his presence :nthat:

Those renderings look alot better than what we saw in the trailer. Modern, but still familiar.

I wish people would give up the nasal passages hang up. Like is it going to make the movie better if they don't have them. Actual turtles have them. I know the source material does not but they look more like a humanoid turtle than any other version. Just

Therein lies the problem. What good's nostalgia if it craps on the fond memories you're basing it off of? I've always been open to "updates" for franchises and I gave each TF movie a serious shot and while one was decent, two and three were just the same cut & paste crap. TF4 looks to be the same and this movie already seems to follow that formula judging by the trailer.

What's so hard about using the source material you have to both satisfy the og fans, while drawing in new ones? Same with the X-Men franchise, it has such a rich history with so many stories you can use, but for whatever reason, the director seems to always do stuff "fans" get upset over just for the sake of bringing in casual movie goers.

Why can't they just go for the win-win and satisfy both fans and casual movie goers?
