How "dark" is the movie? Pretty sure nobody knows as of now. Let's be honest, we'd rather have the puppets (suits) from the OG movie but they didn't go with that. The updated turtles are different but if they just cgi'd the OG turtles how boring would that of been?


I hate that they're cgi'ing the turtles btw. I'm a fan of good costumes (Aliens, predator, OG turtles, ect). Just seems like a lazy cop out

I agree....I hate the overuse of cgi most movies use. Live SFX look so much better because the camera is actually capturing the action on film.

The Turtles design doesnt really bother me too much... but I do feel like they're alittle busy... especially Shredder. I dont know if its Bays influence but I had the same complaint about Transformers... theres just too much going on with the character design.

Seriously tho, these have to be hands down the most beloved characters ever...not one of them you can actually not like and if you do you have issues...love them all.

sounds like both of you are unfamiliar with the original comics. my wanting a darker version of tmnt has absolutely nothin to do with nolans re-hash of batman and everything to do with keeping it true to the comic. which btw did have cursing and blood. and if you havent seen the first tmnt movie in a while, check it out. its not @ all a lighthearted, happy go lucky type of movie. there's a reason why the 2nd and 3rd movies werent as great. it's b/c they made em waaaaayyy too childish imo.

i get that theyre catering to kids n all but i kno for a fact that theyre are lots of tmnt fans that would like to see an edgier version.

look up the "tmnt dawn of the ninja" comic. THATS how original turtle fans from back in the day would like to see it.

Praying for a scene where the turtles argue if Lebron is better than Jordan lol. Little things like that make movies
 
Well, when people are expecting movies to fail, you either make people at least like what they see like in this thread, or you prove them right, like in the X-Men thread. The juries still out on the movie until we see an official trailer though.
 
But that's the thing though, people already expected it to fail even before they knew or seen anything. I get being skeptical but damn, NTers just always jumps the gun and overreacts and I find it funny.
