go to any store that has every brand of tv's on display on the same channel. then compare what vizio's look like against the others

i was in bestbuy yesterday and its a big difference

Of course Best Buy would have the MORE EXPENSIVE set looking better/calibrated.

Y'all are weak.

My homie has a Vizio and I have a Sony Bravia XBR Z Series.
I was at his house just last week and the quality of his Vizio couldn't even compete with my Sony.

You couldn't compare them side to side so that's not a fair assumption. He could have an older model Vizio Vs a newer model Sony too.

I know when he got his Vizio. Just three weeks ago at Costco. I was there with him. I own the Sony, so I know what my Sony is like.

Let put it this way. You drop half the price on one of these. Then when the next technology comes out that's great you still have the money you saved toget something new. While you spend 6k for the equivalent Sony and then something better comes out like Laser or OLCD and feel bad on spending money on one ofthese because you overspent for a Sony. Now look, I'm a HUGE Sony fan, I've had one all my life. But as I look at economics nowadays, it's notworth to get anything top of line. Things become obsolete way too quickly nowadays.

EDIT:

Not defending Vizio totally, but I definitely don't support overspending on electronics like TVs because they are way too dynamic in terms of change

I agree that a Sony or Samsung is a better TV, but you cats act like Vizio is a terrible product. I've had a Samsung and a Vizio both and HD is HD to me. Iend up returning my TVs to Sams Club about every 6 or 7 months depending on what comes out.

Im good with my 48' tube... I dont spend too much time in front the TV but this looks tempting

Don't buy one if you don't like the brand. Some of you are too sensitive on here.

Oh and Jumpman, Pioneer > Panasonic > Samsung > Sony. Sorry. Plasma beats LCD any and every day of the week.

I would rather buy the Vizio and have money left over to buy a HD source like a BD player or PS3/360.

Don't buy their TV if you're into reliable product. I worked there before. They sell refurbished stuff a lot
