If you applied already, you're basically in. It's just a matter of determining WHICH leagues to assign people to and how many we need to serve everyone.

If, for example, we get 30 people from California who want to play and the max league size is 20, we need to assign the other 10 to a different region.

Some invitations have already been sent out, but it depends on the division and who's running it. I've already sent out invitations to all of the applicants in my division, the Southeast (which includes MD/DC/VA and the Southeastern regional forum boundaries.)


We definitely want to make sure all of you who've committed early are a part of the league - so don't worry. We just have to take some time to organize and balance the leagues.

^ We do an autodraft, because the odds of all 20 people in one division being at their computers at the same time for a REAL draft are slim to none.

If you don't know how autodrafts work, Yahoo! ranks all the players in the league, but YOU have the option of ranking players how you choose before the autodraft takes place. For example, if your favorite players are Kidd, Kobe, and Ginobili (in that order), then you have the option of placing Kidd #1 on your list, Kobe #2, and Manu #3.

If you want to just leave it like that and stop with those 3 players, then that's fine. But if you want to go through and rank more players, then that's fine, too. If you want to rank EVERY player in the league according to how you like/dislike them, then knock yourself out.

Just do nothing, and don't rank anyone.

So at this point, you have three options BEFORE the autodraft happens: #1- rank your top players, and leave the rest of the league unranked; #2- rank every person in the league, beginning with placing your #1 player at #1, and ending with... your very least favorite player in the entire league; #3- do nothing. Don't rank anyone.

Now... when the autodraft comes up, everyone is given a RANDOM order in the draft.

Once the draft order is set, let's say you end up 4th.

The highest ranked available player will be given to you if you didn't do a predraft ranking. If you DID do a predraft ranking, then YOUR highest ranked available player will be given to you.

If this catches on and enough people return year-after-year, you might want to consider breaking it up into division flights like the English soccer system. Then you could promote the best teams in each division to higher divisions and demote the worst teams to lower divisions.

I'm very interested and have joined a handful of NT organized leagues since i've joined here. I'm 100% sure i'll be participating the entire season especially if everyone were to do the same
