I'm sorry. That's just too funny. The Wu-Tang essentials thread was straight up dead. Like, DEAD. It took 3 weeks to get as many posts it in as this one.

There's nothing that leads me to believe that there'd be more than 7 or 8 users who would be able to come up with a decent Whitney Houston list. At all.

Don't worry. Give this thread time. We have an eternity to get to any particular artist. There are actually users that have PM'd me with suggestions, rather than just taking sideshots all after the fact. If someone like mossyman really cared about who the first R&B artist we did an essentials post on, he probably would have PM'd me too.

So don't be like, "Oh, we shouldn't have picked THAT artist". I really don't care. I do this because I'd enjoy it and I know that others would too. If it's not for you, get out of the thread. There's nothing to "deliberate" as someone outlined.

you must be one of the few. i'm willingly to bet that most NTers would not know a Whitney Houston song that isn't from a soundtrack.

w/e.... I dunno why dudes is gettin offended by what Bastitch said because it aint nothin but the damn truth.

The Whitney post woulda gone double wood, and it's not just an age thing. But it IS the fact that our generation tends to disrespect the legends of the past.

Even tho Whitney is the greatest female singer of all time

You must've skipped mine and Zsongs posts then. Zsongs even mentioned Trey Lorenz.

"Being the nothing to someone who is your everything is a lot like being a trainer for a boxer. She's constantly fighting the world, thinkin' she's unloved and alone, not knowing the one with the greatest love and support has always been in her corner. You tell her to watch for the right hook, and she still gets pummeled by it. Sooner or later, you just wanna throw in the towel."--MANCHILDyoko

Interesting that a post would include "Trey Lorenz" and "Double Wood" in the same thread, since that's essentially what he did with his solo album.
