If there was a prediction post, then mods, please delete...anyways, lets get this thread going by making some bold statements...let's see who was right, and who was horribly wrong....never too early to speculate...I'll start


-Miami will be lower than a 3 seed

-Stephon Marbury is going to have a career year

-Wizards will win 50 games

-Josh Howard will be an All-Star

-Adam Morrison will win the ROY....

-Toronto will make the playoffs

-Iverson will be traded this season to a contender....Phoenix?

-Josh Smith will be a top 3 finisher for DPOY

-Troy Murphy will average a double double



*well, you all get the drift...I will add more later on

Melo will be an All-Star and earn = to Wade status

Gilbert will be marketed wayyy more by league

Amare will sit out again

This is Shaq's last year

Pistons will stuggle with out Ben

Bulls will be a 3 or 4 seed in the playoffs

Dwight Howard will lead league in rebounds

Knicks will make play-offs and everybody will hop on Steph's jock

You guys go to be kidding.... Smith will not be a MVP contender this season... The usual suspects will be in that line up... Lebron, Kobe, Dirk, Nash, Wade, Duncan etc etc Josh Smith will not even make the All NBA first team!

If you have the Bulls at a 3 or 4 seed who is going to be higher???

My guess is you guys are not Bulls fans and for some reason you both like the Knicks. I can agree the knicks will have a better season but if you think about they can only get better. Playoffs I'm not sure, would be nice to see them in but right now I'm not sure and Steph... he's really not on my radar to say what he will or won't do... So I won't say eitherway.

Dwight Howard and Tayshaun Prince will finish top 2 for DPOY (that's defensive player of the year for JStar)

Raptors will make the playoffs, (knock on wood) However Chris Bosh will not average a double double finishing with averages of 25.2 pts, 9.4 rebs. (Next Year he pulls down the double double with 27.3ppg 10.7 reb, 4.3 ast, 2.8 blk, 1.9 stl on his way to his first MVP.

Philli and Minni will make a trade with the principals being who else? Ai and Kg.

Kirk Hinrich will be looked over for the All Star Game, but will end up 3rd Team All NBA.

The Knicks will start playing with two balls in all their games to accomodate all the selfish gunners on that team.......they will still finish with the worst record in the league, basically handing Greg Oden to Chicago.

Josh Smith was TOTALLY slept on by a lot of people last year...With Al Harrington out of the mix, look for his offensive #'s to increase...that being said, his defensive #'s last year were RIDICULOUS....look at his block average for the amount of minutes he played....IMO he is going to be a top 3 finisher for the DPOY, and it is only a matter of time before he takes home the hardware...not too shabby for a "bust" *cough*jay bilas*cough*....on top of that, he will be an all-star many times over...


Staying on the ATL tip,

-Salim Stoudamire will win the 3pt shootout (assuming he gets the invite) during All-Star Weekend

-Marvin Williams wiil break out...I'm thinking 16/6/3

-Morrison will be posted up by SFs and SGs EVERY game. he'll be exposed as a defensive liability damn near every game

-Knicks will be a 8th seed. they will buy hook, line and sinker into Thomas' philosophy and will be alright with their depth and firepower. Jared wont justify his contract but Lee will show his skills

-RJ will be the Nets best player. 22-7-3. i say he's better than Vince cuz he's a two way player. Wince never played D ever

-Raptors will be decent

-Jameer will be a animal. 19-8-3

-most unstoppable players: Kobe, Bron, Melo, and Wade

Plain and simple, Zeke is gonna be giving Marbury the green light more often than not...both guys are out to prove Larry Brown wrong...I fully expect Marbury to have his best season statistically...there were A LOT of critics who were totally down on Marbury's game last year...was it a reflection of LB's coaching or did he lose a step?....he might have well vacationed in the DR for the whole season, because last year was a wash...there is NO DOUBT that he is the most talented PG in the NBA....he totally conformed to what LB wanted him to do, and the only glimpse last season of the true Marbury was during their 5 or 6 game win streak back in January.....anyways, I wouldn't be shocked with a 24/10 season from him this year....now, I didn't say that with the crazy stats the Knicks will be a whole lot better, but they should easily improve on their 23 wins from last year...
