im watching the series now on netflix its good. i was gonna watch the movie but it was dubbed in English so i gotta find the Portuguese versionwith english subs.

The French Canadian movie, "the Barbarian Invasion," was wonderful. It was the story of a son who has a very distant and cold relationship with hisFather. The Father is dying of cancer and the son returns home to help his Father the son goes to extraordinary links to make things as comfortable for hisdying father as he can.

Movies don't usually stir my emotions, even dramas that I really like. This movie, near the end caused me to have some tears and to really think about myown life and relationship with my parents.

I highly recommend it and I am not easily impressed let alone emotionally effected by movies.

lol yea sholay is a must watch you can watch Kal Ho Na Ho too the movie is also hindi and has subtitles
 
To add to what many have already mentioned, Akira Kurosawa's films are excellent for the most part and very influential.
