Why are there ads on NikeTalk? The answer is inside.

I'm really excited about Yuku, all the options sound pretty cool. NT is going to be an improved site, can't wait.

Are the ads not updated? The reason I ask is because everytime I click on the Eastbay ads, there's a promo for 20% off the whole site that expired back in March. I was just curious.

If you have adblocking software you won't see them though. On my work pc I just had red squares at first until I turned it off.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but another negative to setting up a paid membership is that paying to be here would turn the volunteers into customer service and other members into paying customers.

We already have people acting is if they have undeniable rights on this site, imagine the amount of complaints we'd receive if they actually had to pay to be here?



By the way, we appreciate those of you notifying us of ads for fakes, but we'd appreciate it even more if you would just send one of us a PM or and e-mail to staff@niketalk.com.

I haven't been on here as much as I used to be.
I'm not going to lie and say I read all pages of this topic,but seeing fake ads on NT is crazy.
Isn't there a way that users can donate money to the community?
I've met tons of people, sold a bunch of shoes, bought a bunch of shoes, shared info, and gained TONS of info.
About just charging people in the pickup and wdyw posts? :lol:

I mean, if it's THAT necessary to show what you buy or what you wear everyday, I'm sure you can spare 5 bucks? I know I could spare 5 or 10 bucks.
 
Once again, please PM or e-mail us links to these sites that are being advertised. If you'd like to help us out even more, include a link to the page you were viewing when you saw the ad for fakes.

The ads for fakes are not acceptable and they aren't there by choice. We're working with ezBoard to get rid of them.

What I'd like to know is if ezboard is just removing the ads from our site or from the ad server all together?

Getting fakes off of our ad bar is good, but at the same time, ezboard could be helping out the smaller boards in their network by getting these sites removed from their servers altogether.
