I ask this because almost all the time his WorldWide Sales> U.S Sales. When was the last time a rapper did this?
Curtis barely broke a Mill in the U.S, Worldwide it's somewhere over 5 million. Pretty impressive...

You realize that there are 6 Billion people in the world, 300M in the US. of course his numbers will look like that

The International game is a whole different beast. Kelis is Big in some parts of Europe and yeah Nelly is like the 4th best selling rapper alive if you look atworldwide sales.

^you acting like Nelly hadn't been selling well over here up until that sweat/suit %%%$.

But 50,Jay, and Em are all huge international rap star

Hip hop fans are everywhere, you should see how much support underground artists get in places like Germany and South Africa compared to the U.S.

You acting like he didn't go triple plat. on both of those albums.

Did Jay-Z headline Glastonbury?

Did you take a moment to think before you started this thread?

50 is the biggest for sure, but not the only.

The places i've been (middle east) most dudes can't even name anyone except 50 and Em.

This is exactly what's wrong with the music forum. People posting "stop it" and this guy. Instead of thinking you're so elite why don'tyou reply with facts instead of BS. Jay-Z headlined Glastonbury? NO *%+@. That's a good look and all but it had more to do with the people Jay knows. If Irecall fans of Glastonbury weren't too pleased to have Jay-Z.

Now please, take a moment and try to get some numbers and facts and come back into the post.

I'm not even a 50 fan, I was just looking at some numbers and came to this conclusion. Why must you guys always try to school someone, you always have tofeel like you're one up over everyone else. It's this same reason why you "aspiring rappers/producers" are posting you're music here forthe past 5 years. You needs to chill.

NT is not the real world. NT fails to see how big "in da club" is

and how big 50's other #1 singles are

Jay has never really had a number #1 hit on billboard charts

I commend the 2 who posted above me. The rest of you are just delusional. Jay-Z isn't even that big outside of the U.S. A lot of these people buying50's CD's don't even understand English.

the only way to gauge how big a musician is internationally is through touring sales not album sales. theres no doubt that 50 is one of the biggestinternational rappers and thats mostly to do with where he tours, many artists cant sell tickets in Africa. wu Tang is probably the epitome of InternationalRap stars, Wu could go to basically any continent and do well in terms of touring but from their recent album sales you wouldnt realize that. Another groupthat most woulndt expect to be huge internationally is Boot Camp Clik, they sell more albums internationally than they do in the US. as we know very well inhip-hop sales isnt the best gauge for artist popularity.

Jay is popular internationally but i dont think on the same level as 50, the only market Jay is more popular than 50 is Europe and thats only because ofJay's well known connections with music elite in Europe
