well, the GG is more about the acting, thought, and direction of a movie ....no doubt it was a great movie, smashed records but the GG committe looks at morethan that...thats why almost every year some weird really never heard movie wins..

Because the movie is overrated......Very overrated.

I can name 5 better movies off top

because as much as you'll hate to hear it... The Dark Knight was good... but not the best.

Even if it's not the best, it should at least receive more than just one nomination for how much it made and the praise critics gave it.

Heath Ledger got his, that's all I really cared about. Really, I don't usually care who wins these or the oscars because it doesn't change myopinion of what movies I liked. It's like when NT makes a thread about a movie saying you should or shouldn't go see it. I never listen to that anyway, because my taste in movies is different from anyone else so I'll be the judge of what I like.

Pretty much, who cares about these? Let the Hollywood type worry about who's who in show biz by winning whatever. I could careless.

i didn't realize that was how things worked...

I've always seen award shows for entertainment as stupid. Whether your favorite movie wins or doesn't, isn't going to take away your enjoymentseeing it. Plus, who is to say what is good and what isn't, when it all boils down to personal taste?

That released in the year of 2008 for TDK not to get more attention

Slumdog,BB, and TDK were by far the best

I'm willing to bet Slumdog, BB, and TDK were the only ones you watched.

The Reader / Revolutionary Road / The Wrestler > TDK and BB.

The Dark Knight was a good movie, but not Oscar-worthy....you're acting like it should make a clean sweep.

I really want to see The Wrestler. Reminds me of the Jake The Snake Roberts documentary....

then again Oscars are an uptight bunch it seems

it got almost no nods at the Globes

Slumdog winning was a good pick

TDK was a good movie, but it was mostly a lot of hype on it since heath's death, and then it ended up being good I think a lot of people felt it should getcrowned the best just for living up to the hype.

Because TDK was overrated and a little too long IMO..No doubt Heath Ledger was a great joker but I don't think the Oscars are going to recognize him withan award just because the movie he was in wasnt some large epic/indie/"deep" movie..Just my .02

this is the problem with with people ... they think what they "like" is the end all be all ...

Revolutionary Road, The Reader and The Wrestler were all better than TDK ...

Nolan should have gotten a nomination for Best Director. They did get snubbed considering it's a 4 star movie. The biggest snubbing of the night wasBenjamin Button getting no GG's
